What day and time did Star Trek TNG air in your area during it's orignal run?

Friday's at 8pm on WXIX-TV Channel 19. Here in the Greater Cincinnati area.

4 times every weekend. 2 times Sat and 2 times in Sunday.

Then UPN changed all that.

UPN didn't exist during TNG's run.

I think it changed day and time several times in my area. An independent station out of Boston (which would later become a WB affiliate...no idea what it is nowadays) aired it.

Saturday Night at 8:00 PM in the Bay Area

I think it moved to Monday in the final season, but I do remember All Good Things aired on a Monday because the Viewers Choice Marathon aired the Saturday before.

Italian here. Part of the first season was broadcast in 1991 at 10.30pm on Italia 1 (a tv network owned by Berlusconi). The rest was broadcast at a time varying between 2am and 4am. Reruns in subsequent years at 5.30pm. Prior to 1991, some episodes of the first season were only made available on VHS at video rentals.

I really don’t remember because I set them up to automatically record on our VCR since I was traveling extensively for work and wasn’t home to see them as broadcast. This is, after all, a good while ago.

I’m British so it was all over the shop.

Sometimes we waited years between seasons and TNG seemed to regularly hop to different days/times/channels.

I meant as time progressed. All Trek shows had that pattern here. Then UPN changed the syndicated pattern. New channels, new nights.

Here in the UK, Wednesdays, 6pm, BBC2 is probably indelibly marked in fans minds. This was where TNG premiered, 26th September 1990. And every new episode was shown on that day and time. Even repeats of the series later on, tended to stick with Wednesday (as well as other days of the week as well).

Sky TV obtained the satellite rights to the show, and seasons 4-6 actually received their UK premiere in the summer of '93 Monday-Friday at 5pm (repeated at 10pm).

It started late Saturday afternoon (5 or 6pm) when I was going to school.

Yeah, I remember coming home and it being on then during the first season in the Bay Area. When I moved back full time for the fifth season, I'm pretty sure it was on Thursday at 8pm on Channel 44, then they added DS9 at 9pm the following year. I don't remember TNG being on Mondays at all, although, Voyager definitely was when Channel 44 converted to UPN.

Saturday nights at 10:30 pm CST, right after the local news broadcast. I hated when basketaball and college football games that ran earlier occasionally ran long and pushed everything back anywhere from twenty minutes to even an hour, but thankfully that didn't happen too often.

It aired in my area at 6 PM on Saturdays, which wasn't a huge problem until I got to my junior year of high school and developed a social life. I had to set the VCR and watch later after that, though I could also catch it at 11 PM on a channel in a neighboring city.

Strip syndication Monday-Friday 6pm. New episodes Sundays at 6pm. I didn't realize the difference and wondered why "Descent" didn't seem to have a follow up. My first real cliffhanger (although I saw BOBW for the first time on a Friday, so had to wait till Monday[!] for the conclusion).

Speaking off... which year did TNG start strip syndication in the US?

Technically part of season 4 was on BBC in 1992 -- BOBW part 2 was shown on BBC the week after BOBW part 1 on May 6th at 1800 BST on BBC 2 (snooker didn't get in the way!)

We didn't get Family until years later though. I remember getting the first edition of the companion, probably for Christmas in December 1992. It covered episodes upto the end of Season 5, which was 2 whole seasons I'd never seen.
