He doesn’t? He’s been in the middle of a war with them for a season at this point. And you think he doesn't know who their fucking leader is? How does that make any kind of sense?plus how would Odo even know if Gowron was the head leader or whatever? he doesn't keep track of Klingon home world stuff
No he couldn't. The actor has to say the lines that are in the script.the actor could have made it shorter and easier by saying this
"Gowron is a...."

Even in real life people sometimes overstate their point for dramatic reasons.
This, had he just said "Gown is a changeling!" a large part of the audience would have had no idea who he's talking about even with him appearing at the start of the episode."The head of the Klingon Empire" is for the benefit of the audience, who may be more casual viewers than we are and forgotten who all the recurring characters are.

You are completely ignoring what kkt said and I reiterated. Your shortened version lacks the explanation who Gowron is and why him being a changeling is a big deal. Of course the characters know and for them "Gowron is a changeling" would have been enough but It was said for the members of the audience who DON'T know who Gowron is.well no offense, but I think it would have been better and quicker if he had just said "Gowron is a changeling."
He really didn't need to make the statement longer like Gowron, the head of the Klingon Empire is a changeling

Except for Odo, who “doesn‘t keep track of Klingon homeworld stuff”. Uh-huh, gotcha.everyone knows damn well who Gowron is since Next Generation
At this point in the franchise Gowron had appeared in 7 episodes over 6 years and 2 tv shows. I can say with certainty that not every audience member knew who he was, his name was an incredibly easy detail to miss or forget if people watched his episodes at all. Not everyone was glued to the tv every week to catch the newest episode of TNG and DS9.everyone knows damn well who Gowron is since Next Generation
