What is it? And what is the significance of "765874"?
Where does one go if they don't have the mental stamina to hang out with Trekkies?
A demonstration of the Roddenberry Archive, an immersive interactive experience that I haven't been keeping up on lately myself, but there's a lot more info at this thread: https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/the...-trek’s-uss-enterprise-bridge-to-life.313988/What is it? ...
Some of you folks have nitroglycerin for blood.
Does that mean I'm going to live forever?!![]()
No; it just means you're more likely to blow up than you are to ever develop angina pectoris.Does that mean I'm going to live forever?!![]()

Also, don't get cremated.
Though, that is my plan. I don't have nitro but eat a spoonful of gunpowder every morning with my oatmeal.
Oddly enough, anymore I find I really like Season 1 of TNG, sure there are some clunker episodes, but that's true of any season (although, maybe in their favor they're usually so bad they're actually memorable, where the poor episodes of later seasons are just completely forgettable). I like Season 1 because there still an element of exploring the unknown, with space being weird and trippy.I saw something recently – can't remember where – that pointed out that the Star Trek truly closest to "Roddenberry's vision" is Star Trek: The Motion Picture and season one of TNG, both of which are often maligned as being simply not very good, even by die-hard fans. (I'll defend TMP all day, but despite being a massive TNG fan I'll freely admit season one is the eggiest of curate's eggs.)
That's what I think as well, that script would have been originally written in 1987, HIV/AIDS was still pretty mysterious to the general public, so I can see how misperceptions could arise. The script was probably awful but I am guessing the idea was to offer commentary on the AIDS virus. If it was made I bet it would have ended up being something like "Code of Honor" were they think they making something progressive only to come out offensive because of 80's attitudes at the time.
