I clocked them more as sadomasochists myself . . .though they don't have nerve endings . . . or brains . . .so who knows how that would even work!? (Yes, they're probably just low level spirits/entities of mischief, like imps, or wisps, but I can't make jokes about that!)Hell, I love the mini-puffs! I feel like Afterlife missed a golden opportunity to use them effectively, as they really only show up in the Wal-Mart sequence and it loses a lot of impact because the store is (rather bizarrely) devoid of people. It's particularly strange given the generic small town setting where Wal-Mart would seem like a major investment. 
I'm reserving judgment since the trailers don't give away a lot of context for the mini-puffs in FE, so I'll wait to hear more.

I'm just assuming Ray or Phoebe kept samples of the marshmallow, and they later "regrew" them in the lab . . . somehow.

It kind of makes sense. I get the impression it is really late at night and while Wal-Mart use to stay open 24 hours a day, I have been to mine when it was really late in the middle of the night. It's almost like a ghost town. Also that pun was not intended but I am still very proud of it.
I think he pulls off the line just fine.
Personally I find it totally credible (and funny) that the song exists in-universe; they probably commissioned if from Ray Parker Jr, and later the Run-D.M.C. version too. Indeed that expense may have been half the reason they went under . . . or the records sales were the only thing that allowed them to pay their legal fees when Huey Lewis sued them, making it a total wash. Either/or.

It never ceases to amaze me that the Run-DMC track is only considered a "different version" of the original Ray Parker Jr. track. The lyrics are totally different, the music is different. I mean this ain't no the Ship of Theseus; when you replace almost every part of it save a key words (not even full phrases), and some samples of the main riff all at once; you've gone and made a whole new song, it just happens to have the same title.
A few details about some of the new ghosts:
Bloody Disgusting has some new posters. Most of them are the modern-day generic types, but I do love the mini-Stay Pufts one.
I don't know why they don't stick with the same format as the original two movies' posters. That logo on black plus a simple core cast image is a very striking piece of graphic design that I don't think anything that came after (especially those horrible slime DVD covers) has ever improved upon.
Yeah, that is a curious choice. I guess they want to make their own mark or something. Notice how there's one poster with just the new core characters and another that has everyone.
What bothers me more is that the seem to be pushing Paul Rudd front and centre with the kids off to one side, where I feel like it ought to be the other way around . . . but I guess that's the marketing people pushing the big name and not wanting people to think it's a "kids movie". Still feels wrong.

I think the poster where Paul Rudd separates the new and the old Ghostbusters works well thematically. I'm glad that they're hopefully past the need to "pass the torch" and am looking forward to a novel adventure.

I do wish these things were longer than a bite-size video. There's clearly a lot more discussion going on from these actors (particularly Bill, Annie, and Ernie together) that we barely glimpse at. Yes, I know these are deliberately designed for the general public with short attention spans, but at least gives us the option to watch the longer versions.
