Any Enterprise references?

Sorry Superman, but one of the few things that "These Are The Voyages" added to canon was that the NX-01 is alive and well at a Starfleet museum in the 24th Century! :p

There will be references to all five series in the movie.

I doubt all 5 will be mentioned, but I do believe there will be a small reference to Enterprise and maybe Picard at the end

Or is this Star Trek going to have a different history then the one we grew up with?

"Star Trek: Enterprise" was already a different history than the one most of us grew up with.

I would have no problem with Star Trek XI rectifying that mistake.

Well I *grew up* with TNG, so TOS is an entirely different history than I "grew up with", so maybe I'm ok with them rectifying *that* mistake

;)

I heard it goes down like this:

Kirk: "Remember when Captain Archer was going to make his big speech and got sidetracked by an Andorian and ended up losing his cheif engineer? That really, really sucked."

Spock: "Correct Captain. We can only hope it isn't viewed as a learning tool someday by an over the hill Commander looking for answers that should be obvious to him."

That rumor has been debunked.

It'll be a CLONE of Porthos.

Archer left instructions in his will that Porthos live forever by way of cloning.

Old Porthos will be present at launch ceremony of NCC-1701. He will die the next day. There won't be a dry eye left in the house after that scene.

Good luck with that. :techman:

And you know this...how?

Oh wait, that's right.

You don't.

Well, Roberto Orci knows.

From TrekMovie:
TrekMovie.com: You once told me that you will be putting in ‘continuity nuggets’ as little Easter eggs for the fans. Will some of those be related to the other series like TNG?

Roberto Orci: We got some TNG stuff in there for sure. I made sure of that. And there should be a little something from everything, but for me personally it is all about Next Generation and The Original Series because those are the shows that really set down the rules for Trek that the other shows picked up on. We are also trying to do a lot of what Enterprise was doing in terms of a prequel and some of the corners of Star Trek which were mainly defined by Deep Space Nine are covered to a certain degree.

TrekMovie.com: So are we talking about little references like the name of a ship, like the USS Archer in Star Trek Nemesis?

Roberto Orci: Our references are bigger than that and more pivotal to the story. But I love that little stuff too and we are doing that as well.

And that settles that. :guffaw: Thanks for finding the Orci quote, NCC_1701.

But who knows, maybe the final four Cylons aren't really Cylons, either.

Well, the producers have no control over what makes some folks cringe, since that differs from person to person.

I personally dislike the word "anomaly" or any mention whatever of the Prime Directive. Your mileage probably varies.

Thought I was the only one...

Enterprise, Voyager, The Original Series, TNG, and DS9 are all Star Trek and canon. If the guys making this film wish to work that tapestry into their film - so be it. Its their film!

Sharr

The thing is, everyone has their own likes and dislikes where the various Trek series are concerned - and some folks are really really angry or dismissive about one series or another.

Fine. Makes a horse-race, and a world.

However, the desire and/or the expectation that a group of producers, or Paramount itself, will some day settle the arguments or resolve their grudges in a way that satisfies them is foolish and self-absorbed. That attitude really deserves ridicule, but is seldom worth even that minimal acknowledgment.
