Any Enterprise references?

I have an excerpt from the script regarding an actual reference:

Kirk emerges from one of the Academy latrines (the first ever shown in Trek)

KIRK

Man, that must've been some major Andorian burriot I had. I took a major NX-01.

MCCOY

Dammit, Jim! Light a match!
I almost pissed myself reading that! Genious!

I personally dislike the word "anomaly" or any mention whatever of the Prime Directive. Your mileage probably varies.

Thought I was the only one...

Enterprise, Voyager, The Original Series, TNG, and DS9 are all Star Trek and canon. If the guys making this film wish to work that tapestry into their film - so be it. Its their film!

Sharr

I agree with you. I would like to see something worked into the new film that would be a reference to all the other series no matter how small. such as the USS Archer meition in the last film!

Just wondering, I realize this is sort of a "remake", but does anyone know if there is going to be any mention of any events from Enterprise? Like, the Xindi incident or something? Or is this Star Trek going to have a different history then the one we grew up with?

"Hat Rick" over at TrekMovie.com was present at the Starfleet Academy shoot the other day, and he says that one of the background images inside the library, where there were several photos/paintings of older spacecraft, included an image of a modified NX-01-type vessel.

So there may at least be tiny easter-egg-like references in the background. I have no idea whether there's anything more substantial than that.
sounds like that's probably about all of Enterprise we will get unless they have Archer seeing the 1701 launch, then die the next day like some have suggested

For the purposes of story (and Star Trek fan satisfaction), couldn't they depict Archer dying (horribly) in the very first scene?

Not this fan. Dude. Is this bullshit really necessary?

You're right, of course.

Berman and Braga getting it in a horrifyingly protracted transporter mishap a la TMP would be much more satisfying.

An elderly Archer is trampled by a stampede of gazelles. It involves irony, gazelles, and hurting old people, so it'd be comedy gold!

or howabout USS VALENTINE or USS GAZELLE.

See, the word 'gazelle' is a comedy goldmine. Berman was a comedy genius.

Kirk polishing off a plate of Gazelle meat, noticing a strange tag stuck to one of the bones saying "Archer Wildlife Reserve, Do Not Remove" on it?

When those early photos of Quinto in full Spock make-up were leaked, I could've sworn one had the female silhoutte of a catsuited Vulcan in the background... That's all I caught because it looked like the actors were purposely being hidden behind canvas.

I don't know. Perhaps we'll see that Federation monument mentioned in Shockwave, Part II or maybe the Tomb of the Unknown Mayweather... something like that.

Tomb of the Unknown Mayweather? Wouldn't he/she be known if he/she is known to be a Mayweather?

Or is that the joke? And if so, I apologize. It's been a long week.

\S/

Maybe they'll do a nod to ENT (and FC) and show Cochrane's "boldly go" speech from Broken Bow. It'll be something young Jimmy Kirk sees at a library or perhaps teenage Jimmy sees at the orientation to SFA. It would inspire him to reach for the stars, so to speak.

Orci has indicated that there are "substantive" references to other Trek series including "Enterprise" in the film. There's been a report from the location shooting for Starfleet Academy that a painting of NX-01 was part of the set dressing.
