Absolutely goddamned amen to that.
Thirded.
Absolutely goddamned amen to that.
It also made Brosnan the first and only Bond to have been publicly let go. Lazenby quit. Whatever actually happened there is at least the polite (and possibly true) public story that Dalton was offered to come back when EON was finally ready to make another Bond and he declined.DAD might be the only Bond film where I actively dislike both the theme song and the movie itself. Even with DAF the Shirley Bassey theme song is a sumptuous tune to relax one's self into even if the plot and its execution are mediocre at best, but Die Another Day was not a good way to close out the original Bond movie timeline.
I think they were due to dine together but didn’t actually (George had dinner with Raymond Chow). They had eaten to discuss the project a few nights earlier, however, according to this take: https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/james-bond-vs-bruce-lee-the-movie-that-nearly-happened/An interesting fact that I just stumbled across, which might be common knowledge...the night Bruce Lee died, he had dinner with George Lazenby to discuss a prospective film project.
It’s still a fascinating “what might have been”, especially given Lazenby’s physicality and prowess in fight scenes.Ah, I misread the section of Lee's Wiki page describing it. It didn't say that Lee had actually had the dinner, just that it was scheduled.
So in this case it DID happen to the other fellow.I did know that but I didn't learn it until recent years. Bruce Lee had the dinner meeting written in his day planner for the day he died.
Yeah, let him take it to Netflix as his own riff on Bond, like he did with Rebel Moon, which began life as his Star Wars pitch.
You had me at the first part.In an interview with The Atlantic, Zack Snyder says that ... he's done..
The one hour (approx) chapters are the only way to watch it. I couldn’t imagine trying to do it all at once.I've literally fallen asleep all three times I've tried to watch the extended Justice League.
Grrrr.Damn, now where did I put my slide whistle?
Harry Saltzman took down Harry Saltzman; his business dealings in the late '60s and early '70s were a hot mess, and Bond was probably the only good thing he had going. It's the film that took down Harry Saltzman.
Fair enough. But it was the elephant shoes that broke the something or other... That got away from me a bit.Harry Saltzman took down Harry Saltzman; his business dealings in the late '60s and early '70s were a hot mess, and Bond was probably the only good thing he had going.
