I don't know. No Way Home was amazing and part of it was the storylines from Rami and Dafoe and Molina's characters. It had a good blend. You'd think if nothing else that 'Multiverse of Madness' proved that Rami's style and the MCU's style (such as it is) are fundimentally and jarringly different, bordering on the entierly dissonant.
If you can pluck infinity stones and Mjolnirs from the past, you can pluck a Tony Stark from the past.So the rumours about RDJ (and presumably others who’ve died or otherwise departed the MCU onscreen) are not to be believed, according to Kevin Feige: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/m...99pVzT7Gre4zAPkTe1HnbPwSbkvSJG9Lo72zNMmLTL1Z4
Sure, but I'm not talking about the characters or the performers, I'm talking about direction. Though it plays homage left right and centre; the tone and style of NWH is not at all like either of the other two Spider-Man franchises. Totally differant animal.I don't know. Yes, but it could still work is my point.Sure, but I'm not talking about the characters or the performers, I'm talking about direction. Though it plays homage left right and centre; the tone and style of NWH is not at all like either of the other two Spider-Man franchises. Totally differant animal.
MCU Spider Man was not thin on substance

The problem is that you're depriving another timeline of its Tony Stark.
Is it weird that I love both Raimi and MCU Spider-Man movies, and Batman '66 and The Dark Knight Trilogy? It's worth bearing in mind that the tone of the original Rami movies are vastly different from the modern MCU Spider-man movies, or indeed, the 'Amazing Spider-Man' duology.
Rami was deliberatly going the full camp and melodrama route; channelling the original 60's version of the character that he grew up with (which also plays into why he had no clue what to do with Venom.)
One can debate personal preference all day and all night, but when it comes to the writing and plotting, there's objectivly just no comparing old with new. They're entierly different animals, and that's by design. One might as well judge the old Adam West 'Batman' against the Nolan movies; it's silly to even try.

Not really. That's the whole point of art. You can have a huge amount of variety with different characters and worlds and stories. There is no reason to exclude different types. Is it weird that I love both Raimi and MCU Spider-Man movies, and Batman '66 and The Dark Knight Trilogy?

The Stones and Mjolnir had to be sent back though, remember?
You say that like it's a bad thing.

Guys, relax. I'm not making a value judgment. Indeed if you actually paid attention to what I said, that's the opposite to what I'm doing.By working shockingly well as a movie?

Why did the MCU have Peter Parker attending a school similar to the one Miles Morales had attended in the comics? Why have Peter being beasties with Miles' comic book best friend? Who's idea was it to create a "cure" for the villains in NWH? What was the point? Why have Peter become attracted to MJ between the first and second movies - offscreen?
