The first Bynar ship!

That mystery Intrepid-like ship on the left is back!
Also, I wonder if we can have that Badgey effect as a Vanity Shield in STO. It could work similarly to the Pink Vanity Shield.
THAT would be awesome.

I really wish they would make the Pink VS available again. The 32nd Century Federation one, too. Missed out on getting both of those to complete the entire set.

It is unsettling to speculate, but it strikes me as quite likely that the (very modern?) holo-emitters on the Drookmani ship were probably salvaged from the Solvang.

Glowey Starbase 25 is the same graphic as regular Starbase 25, but with the addition of the not-Intrepid ship in the berth where the Cerritos would have docked in the previous episode. All the other ships are the same as before too!

With the amount of old outdated ships docked at that starbase, one might think that this shot was originally meant to be a museum, not an active-duty starbase, and they just repurposed the shot for something else.

The Andorian Imperial Guard might like their old hull designs and just modernize it with newer shields / weapons / sensors / computers.

Maybe only humans like to continually change their ship designs?
I think it's more of a "StarFleet" Organizational Ethos/Mantra, always pushing technology to the edge and constantly doing R&D.

Remember NX-01 was on the cutting edge for humanity.

The TOS Connie was the most advanced of it's time

The USS Enterprise-D was the most advanced of it's time when it launched.

etc.

StarFleet is always wanting to innovate, push every aspect forward.

I mean it seems very understandable to me that as the Federation folds in the new members and receives different technologies from new members to fold in to Starfleet.

- Canon, scientific reason as to why all the caves in this franchise look the same!

- Have we seen their palm beacons before? It looks voyager-esque but apparently can fit into the same slimming pockets everyone on LDS also hides their hand phasers.

- Rutherford and T'ana both wear the same backpacks, but the Doc has a medical caduceus on it. They're the same shape and side the medical kit seen on DS9, but those were more like shoulder slings.

- The one Delta Shift guy has an eyepatch? Guy likes Martok? Is skipping over a replacement allowable in Starfleet? IT's an EYE, but the segment ended with cloning a replacement for a non-bleeding leg.

It would have been a GREAT opportunity to have an engineering logo on Rutherford's version of that backpack, yet such is life.

Even though an eyepatch seems like archaic technology, it seems that Ensign Amadou (and Ensign Rutherford, for that matter) can opt for whatever replacement they choose- Rutherford was shown to have kept his buggy implant because of its cool features despite terrible risks (risks now known to include the prehensile, mind-altering wire tendrils Badgey used on the Drookmani captain). Potentially Amadou has a sentimental attachment to his scar and patch? Doctor T'ana was shown letting Mariner keep her "disgusting" trophy scars and has apparently never gotten a replacement for her own tail.
