Bad Starship Names

USS You Give Love

(wait for it... ;) )

That's just the USS Garth Brooks with a different paint job.

That must be how Ensign Wildman from VOY met her husband Greskrendregtk. Both were serving on the USS Baton Rouge. One fine day on landing party duty, Gres hails the ship:

"Hello, Samantha dear! I heard you're feeling fine! And it won't be long until I'm with you all the time!" :D

Is that how the Mirror universe works?

I thought over there, nice people were awful and the already awful people just got a whole lot worse?

Firstly, I didn't scroll through the previous 30 sections of post.

BUT.....if I'm the first one here to nominate the USS Beagle, I'd be flabbergasted. With a ship moniker like that, how could Merik possibly get any respect from anyone? That's name's worse than Hepatitis......or Anathema...or anything.

Most, yes, but not each and every one. Brunt, for example, seemed a relatively decent guy in the Mirror universe. I thought he seemed nicer than prime Brunt, even though he was a mercenary. Smiley or Jennifer Sisko didn't seem too bad either once you got to know them, their life just was a lot rougher to make them turn out the way they did.

Also, if it were true, what would Mirror Hitler and Mirror Stalin have been like? Come to think of it, we never saw Mirror Dukat either, did we?

In the year 2357, Lieutenant Jamee Barney distinguishes herself by rescuing several fellow crewmembers from being pinned down and injured in a skirmish with Cardassians during the war. She put her life on the line and earned a commendation from Starfleet.

In 2380, a certain purple dinosaur is coming back in popularity in children's entertainment. Starfleet Ensign Andrew Wilkin says goodbye to his wife and 5 year old daughter before going on deployment. He arrives at the transport looking especially upset. A fellow Ensign asks what's wrong. Ensign Wilkin says, "I just told my daughter I was serving on the SS Barney."

i'm afraid you couldn't be more wrong - uss beagle is a great name for a ship, especially a science vessel
