What are your gaming pet peeves?

Game prices gone wild! I was just browsing the Playstation store, noticed The Crew Motorfest was on sale. The ultimate edition is $135 Canadian. Sorry, I know developers need to make money, but that just feels like way too much. It's disgusting. So, in relation to this thread, I'd say inflated game prices. I know some studios have said game prices would be going up, but this is frankly insane.

They know gamers will pay and not protest

I tend to get games that are a few years old, ideally secondhand, because they are more affordable. Occasionally there will be a new title that I absolutely must get during release week, though.

It's the mobile games that really bleed you. $1.99, 2.99, or 4.99 at a time.

Gotchu ladies and gents.

just picked up a Steam copy of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition for like $20 off of CD Keys.

Yes! I use them now because I got burned on Kinguin and started getting bogus charges. But that was really the seller, not Kinguin. Kinguin doesn’t like discover card. I’ve gotten several games from CD Keys with no problems, though.

So how does it work? You register on there get a steam code and use that?

Awesome! Yeah, it’s easy. Just sign up for a free account and browse games at wholesale prices. They offer games for other platforms like Origin and whatnot, too.

This is why I have no interest in getting a digital only console. Red Dead Redemption 2, a five year old game, is still £55 on the playstation store. That's just plain greed.

Yeah, that's the other thing too. There are some games that hardly ever go on sale and have stayed more or less the same price for years. And even when Sony has their sales, it still never does, or either only goes for 15% off. An example of this would be No Man's Sky, which has been holding at $79.99 for years ever since it got published.
