Spoilers Where should Star Trek go next?

I just want to see the Federation grow from a fledgling organization of a few planets, to what we see in this room:

Beyond the Vulcans, Andorians, and Tellarites, we know virtually nothing about the other early member races. People will say they want new alien races, but why don't we actually learn something about the dozens of species that we know nothing about beyond their name or appearance?

You prefer bumpy headed aliens flying around in triangles?

Tbh the "human + forehead ridge" basic design is one of the things I don't like about Berman era Trek. I like Bajorans and Trills but their designs are lazy and the Betazoids are even worse

I personally would enjoy seeing some the races from the "Journey to Babel" that we never learn about.

Somebody said that the dwarf-like humanoids from that episode who had gold skin are the Ithenites referenced in ENT Season 3 as being a member of the Federation by the 26th century. I'd be all for seeing more of them as well as a few of the other humanoid races in the refreshments hall.
