It's good to see Boimler finally get his hollow pip back, given how completely undeserved his previous rank-drop was. And Tendi too. And looks like Ransom's finally found a way to totally mess with Mariner. And kudos to LD writers for, despite the relentless silliness, having the sense to know that an ensign is supposed to make lieutenant.

I enjoyed those all those assorted creative Tuvix-mixtures, too.

I'm a little disappointed that they dodged the Tuvix moral dilemma by turning everyone into a giant insensate blob. (My prediction midway through the episode was that Boimler would earn his promotion by using his experience with transporter duplication to separate the combined individuals while leaving the Twovixed entities intact.)

Otherwise, I laughed my ass off. I have a certain fondness for Voyager; it's not my favorite show but there's lot about it from the characters to the set design to the crazy ideas it would pump out that I have nostalgia for, and they paid wonderful homage to all of that. The Borgified salamander baby killed me.

Lots of references in this one!
Slightly disappointed that they didn't use the sound effects for Voyager's transporter and the nacelles going up as it went to warp.

Would there really need to be any waste removal on a holodeck? Wouldn't the matter be recycled?

This has come up before. I theorized that as a safety mechanism the holodeck can't dissolve any matter it didn't create. That's how you stop it from killing people like they were afraid of in The Big Goodbye. The side affect is that it's instead physically collected, and thus must be removed manually.

Amusing episode gets an 8 from me. I loved all the Voyager Easter eggs and just like the DS9 episode it looked gorgeous.

We’ve had DS9 and now Voyager so it would be nice if they did an Enterprise episode. I’d have it retcon Trip’s death to fix that mistake.

It started good and the promotions at the end felt very right, it was also interesting they touched the Tuvix topic and to see Voyager, however the episode was pretty much just a series of accidents happening one after the other, I feel it might be the weakest of LDS so far.

Also, Mariner is on back on board, no explanation given? I know she was back on Those Old Scientists already, but I just assumed that was set later in the season. Well, perhaps it will be addressed later.

Was she not supposed to be? Rewatching the last season and Captain Freeman gives her the "welcome back" speech.

She's even assigned to Ransom for mentoring.
