Spock, La'an, and M'Benga. La'an and M'Benga are definitely breakouts this season.

Which just goes to show how disappointed I was with Pike this season- the captain is usually my favorite all-round character on any Trek show.

La’an, M’Benga, and Spock, mainly because of the character development they got. I like all of the other characters too.

I went for La'an, Christine, and Uhura but Spock and M'Benga were close behind. I've come such a long way from being really lukewarm on these characters to loving them.

I take it the actor had paternity leave, so good for him for putting his family ahead of the job. I still enjoyed his scenes a lot.

Pike and Spock are beasts, but in season 2 I was completely taken by La'an. I don't know if I just didn't notice her in the original season, or if the ensemble is THAT STRONG, but starting with "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" I was paying close attention to her. Loved what she got in "Subspace Rhapsody". Uhura also really flowered in season 2. Celia is a different Uhura, but I've grown to REALLY dig her.
