I'm still mad they canceled the Star Trek/ Alien crossover they announced a few years ago.
ALIEN and Blade Runner might be the best fit.
Aren't there some theories going around that they actually take place in the same universe?

If you google that, you'll find some great stuff. I think there are literal references on screens in Bladerunner mentioning Weyland and things like that.

Sort of like Hulk I guess.

Ash just got away from a Yautja and took the cab behind Deckard to the Nostromo

I recall that Ed Olmos one time insisted that NuBSG was a prequel to Blade Runner, with Gav being a descendant of Adama and the Replicants being simply the next generation Cylons. This has all happened before…

Isn’t Aliens vs Predator its own franchise for legal purposes?

No.

Ridley Scott just won't acknowledge AvP in the films he's making now. There is no legal requirement that they be kept separate. He just doesn't like AvP.

@JD, I highly doubt Alien and Trek could ever take place in the same universe. Just watch the ending of Resurrection and look at the condition Paris is in...

Only evident in the special edition.

In any case I am fairly sure that by the time Resurrection comes around, Starfleet and the Federation should already exist, and in the Alien universe they obviously do not.

Firefly, OTOH, probably does take place in the Alien universe, because a flashback scene in FF shows Mal using a Weyland-Yutani weapon during the Battle of Serenity Valley.

And a Firefly flying over Caprica City in NuBSG. :D

And a TOS Enterprise in the rag tag fleet for that matter...
