Star Trek: Lower Decks - Mobile Game

Funny… about a half hour after I posted the above comment, I checked for an update and it was there! Fixed everything - the game loads correctly and it no longer gets hung at 91% either. All is well… For now.

Ooh, gotta try that too! This morning there was an odd bug that led to no intruders appearing at all, but in the afternoon they were back

Much smoother now, and a new episode with Seven!

I think that may be because the intruder blobs were recently changed to have the ad button show up more frequently to get extra resources and something got munged in the code. Very few have popped up since the update that just gave you the stuff when tapping on them. Feels like 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 now.

This one has a nice leaf shadow effect

Matt is stuck in the floor like that lady in TNG... but doesn't mind :D

I think groups are determined by when you start the event. Here is my rank immediately after I started it, but it had already been on for a few hours:

:D A unique unit of C, which made me wonder if not playing at all keeps me in that position as a test user, making it the only winning move...

...but just a few s later:

I always start events as soon as they begin. Do you think that we are best waiting a few hours and entering the events after the preliminary surge of players? If we enter an easier group with less hard core players, it may make the game easier for us. :)

I really want the loot, you see.

I'm trying to find out... today I joined a bit late again, but was in the 30s just a few taps later and then 10th after just a few min.

I joined the current event straight away yesterday, within minutes of the event launching, and I was about 160th on the leaderboard. I played the game and now I am rank 66. In a few days if I carry on playing as I am now I will likely be in the top 20 and win some loot as per usual.

So, it looks to me that we need to wait a few hours before joining events so that we can progress up the leader board easier with less ‘dedicated’ players, thus winning even more loot. Can anyone else confirm that this would work? I would miss playing the events from launch but it would be a way forward.

Well, I started the latest event in the morning rather than at launch. I have been in the top thirty since I started taking part, spending a lot of the time in the top ten since yesterday evening. I am currently placed at 3 on the leaderboard, with 45 hours left to go. I have learnt not to take part in events straight from launch, they are far easier to place in at a good leaderboard position if you wait a good few hours/half day or so for the mad rush of hardcore players to group up together, leaving the more casual players as easy pickings competition in less challenging (and less likely to pay to win) groupings of players. :bolian:

Does Apple not realise that I only trade in baseballs, baby Borg, dilithium, latinum, pork crackling, clovers and merit points????

Hope I can actually see it. I finished the last new mission and, now that I'm back in "sandbox" mode, it's crashing almost every time I tap on ... well... damn near anything. Getting new holocrew, sim automations, updating crew and sims, looking at any ads, going to current event, etc. Nearly each and every time does a CTD. I'm thinking that, since all the simulations are active and running simultaneously, it's too much for the device to handle and it swallows its own face trying to keep up. Might be time to upgrade to a new iPad, but I really don't have the spare cash lying around right now. :(

Spent 70 latinum in the new event, then they canceled it and gave a hidden amount back

The only problem with this is I ploughed my latinum in to the start of this event which Badgey started too early. It was my winnings from previous events. The compensation does not cover my latinum losses. They gave out 100 latinum in compensation, plus characters which I already had, but I still lost about 300 latinum I think it was? :klingon:

Huh... never saw that message.

Thankfully, I have the new missions and everything is working pretty optimally now, but I dread going back into sandbox mode when I run out of missions again.

You only got this message if you had entered the event, regardless of how much progression that you made. If you had not entered the event you would not be compensated. The event was only live for an hour or so before being withdrawn.

I got less than 100 cause I had 5xx before and after. Now playing without any ads and no latinum until I get back to 600

Look! I won the whole set! :adore:IMG_1673.jpeg
Btw, two upcoming simulations are:
  • The Farm
  • Fire Caves

A heads up on logging in and getting Voyager as a freebie in the run up to Star Trek Day, I did not manage to get this ship in the events so I am really happy to have one for my in game wall display. :Dcool new event starting btw.
