That holds up with his attempt in "I, MUDD".They were able to sing, but not to waltz![]()
... and pregnant with David.Carol Marcos was on SB1 back then
They even managed to squeeze in a tiny bit of crying."reports of musical outbreaks have come in from every deck"
"I doubt we will be bunnies"
10/10 no notes.
I love how freaked out Pike is.
Love a classic technobabble+deflector gambit.
Having the episode be a musical came across as a good way of basically having an episode that's mostly an update on everyone's feelings and relationships without it feeling too much like an episode where not much happens but we get an update on everyone's feelings and relationships. A good breather before we head into the finale that's lighthearted, but not unserious.
Una and Kirk working together was a good pairing, Would have liked to see them work together more. And I really liked Wesley as Kirk here, I think he does a good job being brash and charming, but still clearly less experienced than the Kirk we know later.
YESDid they name drop Carol Marcus?
The first time in years we've heard it full, attached to an actual episode.Nice TOS theme!
They even managed to squeeze in a tiny bit of crying.
YES
And Jim is aware that she is pregnant.
But I don't think they are yet to the part where she asks him to stay away.
It seems that that event doesn't happen until sometime after David is born.
Probably shortly after Jim becomes Captain.
like he tells harriman some 33 years later "Risk is part of the game if you want to sir in that [captain's chair]."" I don't love rules, but I'm pretty sure you're about to break a big one."
I'm liking this version of Kirk the more I see him. Always on target.
Suddenly I'm thinking that Kirk and Mariner are alike. You gotta know the rules so you can know exactly how to break them and get away with it.
