I wonder if it will be better than Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra back in '91.
All I can say leading up to this episode is:
I hope the field expands far enough that it infests a Klingon ship.
I'd totally watch that.
Me, too. Vulcans would also be funny.
Nah. It's just caught in TV's slide, but still an escape from reality.
also I got a feeling this is going to be one of the final musical numbers.
As with the LD crossover, I have some sense of trepidation with this episode. Weirdly, as much as my initial impressions of the crossover one was initially mixed, I've found it to be more watchable since then, although I don't think it'll ever be one of my favorites. I'm hoping that Subspace Rhapsody has a similar kind of quality, and is just a fun romp. Fingers crossed!

I think the reactions to this episode already make me even more excited to see it. This is something Star Trek has never done before and in 20 years time I can say I was here for it, much in the same way people who were fans of the Original saw the first interracial kiss between Kirk and Uhura. Even if I just tolorate it, I think that would be a win.
Honestly I'm just as excited for the fan drama as I am the episode. I realize what this says about me.
