Weird Test: Can We Guess Your Age Based on Your Star Trek Opinions?

So, the quiz only basically has four results:

64 - if you like TOS the best
44 - if you like TNG the best
31 - if you like VOY the best
19 - if you like DIS the best
Seems like they should have tried to devise a result around age 50ish for those who came to Trek during reruns in the 70s, which seems to be the biggest gap highlighted by our results.

What the Hell? That's the weirdest result yet. Based on a thread in Future of Trek, I thought you didn't like Kelvin or Disco.

Lol, those questions seem designed to bracket you based on a few limited available responses; I'm not easily pigeonholed. I've never seen "Kelvin" or "Disco" (I'm old enough that "disco" is an entirely different reference); the most recent ST production I've seen is the first thirty minutes of the first Abrams movie.

No worse then those insipid quizzes that circulate on Farcebook - "What is your elf name?", "What type of dog are you?"

Six pages reminds me of an rpg forum years ago where someone started a thread then apparently found their answer elsewhere, they couldn't delete the thread so just changed the first post to, "Please ignore this thread". I responded, "OK, I'm ignoring it", which snowballed over months and years; page after page of "I'm ignoring it also", "Me too", "Paying no attention", "It's been a year and I'm still ignoring this", "I'm new here but I'll ignore it". In spring of 2010 the host server was going offline so the admins were archiving what was worth taking to the new host; of course the "ignore" thread didn't make the cut, but it had grown to over 300 pages, lol. To this day if someone mentions ignoring something some "old timer" will respond, "Oh please don't start that again!"

Only 3 years off, but the description doesn't fit. My parents had nothing to do with it, and TNG isn't my favourite series. It was however my first contact with the franchise as a child and it's kind of burnt in my brain as prototypical Star Trek, so that's not that far off I guess.

19
You grew up surrounded by "Star Trek" and appreciate all interpretations of the franchise. While those older than you argue the merits of the J.J. Abrams movies and whether or not "Star Trek: Discovery" is worth watching, you love it all. Sure, some "Star Trek" movies and shows are better than others, but the franchise is so old. you figure it was bound to happen.

It tells me I'm 31. Not quite!

64

"Star Trek" debuted when you were 12.
That's funny. I am 64 (born in 1959), and Star Trek (series first aired in 1966) came out when I was 7, not 12. For someone to be 64 and have been 12 when Star Trek first aired, the current year would have to be 2028. (checks calendar) Nope.

44. I'm 20 years older than that. My favourite series is DS9 and my parents have never been to a Star Trek film...
There was a distinct lack of questions involving DS9. Perhaps that reflects the prejudices of the quiz setter.
