Seems like they should have tried to devise a result around age 50ish for those who came to Trek during reruns in the 70s, which seems to be the biggest gap highlighted by our results. So, the quiz only basically has four results:
64 - if you like TOS the best
44 - if you like TNG the best
31 - if you like VOY the best
19 - if you like DIS the best
Lol, I got 19 ...missed by nearly half a century.
What the Hell? That's the weirdest result yet. Based on a thread in Future of Trek, I thought you didn't like Kelvin or Disco.
I’m a fan of stupid time waste quizzes, but HowStuffWorks are bad quizzes.
Says the guy who posted it....It's not just a bad quiz, it's a terrible quiz. Yet here we are six pages later.![]()
Only 3 years off, but the description doesn't fit. My parents had nothing to do with it, and TNG isn't my favourite series. It was however my first contact with the franchise as a child and it's kind of burnt in my brain as prototypical Star Trek, so that's not that far off I guess.
You grew up surrounded by "Star Trek" and appreciate all interpretations of the franchise. While those older than you argue the merits of the J.J. Abrams movies and whether or not "Star Trek: Discovery" is worth watching, you love it all. Sure, some "Star Trek" movies and shows are better than others, but the franchise is so old. you figure it was bound to happen.
That's funny. I am 64 (born in 1959), and Star Trek (series first aired in 1966) came out when I was 7, not 12. For someone to be 64 and have been 12 when Star Trek first aired, the current year would have to be 2028. (checks calendar) Nope.64
"Star Trek" debuted when you were 12.
