Deep Space Nine captain Benjamin Sisko returns in a new ongoing series featuring fan-favorite characters from across the Star Trek universe, sure to thrill new readers and longtime Trekkies alike!
Stardate 2378: A bold new era of Star Trek begins! Three years ago, Benjamin Sisko made a courageous sacrifice that left him trapped in the dimension of the mysterious Prophets; now he’s returned to his home universe—with powerful, godlike abilities. But his omnipotence is failing when he needs it most. Someone is killing the gods, and Sisko and the motley crew of the U.S.S. Theseus will have to travel to the deepest parts of space to stop them.
Star Trek: Year Five lead writers Jackson Lanzing & Collin Kelly (Batman Beyond, Captain America) and artist Ramon Rosanas (Star Wars) present a new ship, a new mission, and a lot of old friends! Sisko is joined by Commanders Data and Worf, and Dr. Beverly Crusher, of Star Trek: The Next Generation; Lt. Tom Paris, of Star Trek: Voyager; Ensign Lilly Sato, of Star Trek: Enterprise; Captain Montgomery Scott, of Star Trek: The Original Series, and Ben’s son, Jake. But there are new faces as well, to surprise established fans while showing new readers the ropes.
Collects issues #1–6 of the ongoing series.
And the first volume of a Library series collecting lots of things. First trade seems to collect the original Countdown, the Nero miniseries and Spock: Reflections.

The Kirk on the sample page looks like he was drawn by Michael Allred (Madman), which would be fascinatingly huge if true.First, a new TAS-themed comic tale from IDW Publishing is coming this September — Star Trek: The Animated Celebration Presents the Scheimer Barrier, named after Lou Scheimer (founder of TAS animation studio Filmation).
Written by Casper Kelly, the comic will first arrive digitally in September, with physical printed copies available at the IDW Publishing booth at New York Comic Con in October.

It's probably not, because if IDW had secured Allred for a Star Trek comic, that's something they'd announce right away.
Possibly? IDW did a Doctor Who comic that was exclusively released for SDCC about eleven, twelve years ago. I think it might have turned up again in a special eleventh Doctor DVD box set.Does that mean it will only ever be physically available at NYCC? Meaning the rest of us are stuck with overpriced copies from Ebay?

Fair enough. And we don't have all that long to wait before we find out how the book turned out.it is valid to use it for a person with any past experience in a given field
Another lovely person to block!Fair enough. And we don't have all that long to wait before we find out how the book turned out.
And why would that be?Another lovely person to block!
Block whom? And why? I’m confused.Another lovely person to block!
Another lovely person to block!
In fact, they do. While the word "veteran" is often used to mean someone with long experience, it is valid to use it for a person with any past experience in a given field. And while Derek may have more articles and Star Trek Adventures games to his credit than prose stories, he's been part of the author community for 18 years. He's hardly a novice.
