Warp Impulse Simulator

In simple terms, the warp impulse suggests the creation of a "bubble" of space-time that contracts and expands behind and in front of the spaceship, respectively. This bubble would carry the ship through space while the space-time inside the bubble remains static in relation to the ship. As a result, the ship itself wouldn't be moving at superluminal speeds, but the space around it would be distorting, allowing it to travel faster than light in relation to the external space.
The warp speed is a concept used in the Star Trek universe to describe a propulsion method that allows spaceships to travel at superluminal speeds, meaning faster than light. In the context of Star Trek, "warp" is a distortion of space-time that enables the ship to move beyond the limitations imposed by the speed of light

W = Warp speed
V = Spaceship's velocity
c = Speed of light

This formula represents one of the theoretical relationships proposed in science fiction to calculate the warp speed based on the spaceship's velocity compared to the speed of light. It is important to mention that this formula is derived from the Alcubierre warp concept.

W = ∛(V / c)

Based on the above, I present this simulator created in Scratch that simulates the warp travel and the warp deformation bubble.

It is important to mention that this formula is derived from the Alcubierre warp concept.

That warp scale can be inferred from what is written in "The Making of Star Trek” (1968) on page 191 (note you have to interpret the “24” for warp 3 as a typo for “27”). It is also found in the "Star Fleet Technical Manual” (1975) on page TO:02:06:20. Both were published decades before Alcubierre’s work (1994).

Certainly, I just wanted to integrate the idea of Star Trek's warp factors with the Alcubierre displacement.
The "Alcubierre warp drive" is an expression that combines the concept of the "warp drive" used in the Star Trek universe with the "Alcubierre metric" from theoretical physics.

In Star Trek, the "warp drive" is the technology that allows spaceships to achieve warp speeds and travel through warped space-time.

On the other hand, the "Alcubierre metric" is a theoretical mathematical solution proposed by Miguel Alcubierre in 1994, which describes a possible distortion of space-time that would allow faster-than-light travel.

Therefore, the term "Alcubierre warp drive" is a fictional fusion of these concepts that has been popularized in science fiction and discussions about theories of faster-than-light travel. It is important to note that, in the current reality, there is no evidence to support faster-than-light travel, and this concept remains purely theoretical and speculative.
