Yep, they can have a holodeck simulation where they watch Pelia get unceremoniously killed off.
That's an interesting trailer. If the Gorn are going to destroy Batel's ship, I can see Pike putting himself in harm's way (since he think's he's invincible for the next few years).

They're not going to do that.
It would be a waste of the SNW actors to have them portray holograms, and I wouldn't really consider it a crossover episode.

I decided to watch and episode of Lower Decks last night (the one with Boimler and Mariner at the Starfleet recruitment booth) and right before it started there was a promo for SNW I only caught a fraction of the last of it but there was a scene with several of the crew standing over Spock doing versions of him for his benefit. He asks "Is that what I really sound like?" and they all say "yes" in unison. I haven't been able to find the promo again. And I can't tell if it's specifically for E5 or was just a general S2 promo with new scenes.
Mount mentioned there is an animated version of PIke in the episode. One assumes he will be on the Cerritos.
Based on the E5 preview that sounds like the next episode.

I saw the whole promo tonight and it certainly seems so. It might be amusing....maybe. Like in a "meeting the inlaws for an important ritual but oh no, he tried to bleach his hair and it turned green!" kind of way.
