Spoilers Season 2 Preview Images and Videos Thread

So wait…no Canada in the 23rd Century. Dang.
We invaded the states after World War III and took over when they were too weak to defend themselves. Canada, being the most beloved country in the world, was never attacked and was left with the world's largest standing military. What was the United States became the United Provinces of North America.

Unexpected Fallout.

That explains Kirk's accent.

That bridge does not exist in real life. So they are still going with a slightly different modern day than IRL. Well it would have to be for Khan and his ilk to exist.

the united states doesn't either. Nor any other nation state.

I feel like they play a little fast and loose with that sometimes. Like “Lebarre, France, Earth” Checkov and his “it was a Russian invention” stuff from TOS, I think Picard even called an American historical figure “your countryman” to Riker once…or maybe it was Q.

doesn’t help that they’ve never really explained how Earth’s government works.

I didn’t think Kirk knew how to drive that well…or is that just Iotian replicas of 1920s autos. Maybe he just doesn’t know how to drive a stick and the Challenger is an automatic :D

Indeed! The United Provinces of North America was seen as the beginning stage of a United Earth. Our Canadian values spread across the globe, with more and more wishing to join until we were all united under the maple leaf.
Can we have more places like Rogers Centre for baseball in that case?

I don't like it either, but I like the design of the place! Where else can you have a hotel room with the window looking out onto the field?

I think that's actually becoming fairly common in some of the newer built stadiums. Now the roof opening up, that's still kinda rare.

Seeing it more clearly here, it's definitely UEF Enterprise.

Unless the Toronto Islands have had a REALLY big population boom!

A much better look, less dark eye makeup and hair that is not tied impossibly tight :D
