Just cast Chukwudi as Kang and say the High Evolutionary is a variant. There's not really a whole lot I can add until this thread starts breaking off into more specific discussions of the film. Easily the best Marvel entry since Endgame, and in many ways, it surpasses IW/Endgame in emotional depth, character development, and sheer fun. I loved the final moment with Gamora and Peter and the way they were standing during their final words. Rocket's story was so well done I have no words. And all the Guardians had their moment to shine. If this is the type of films we can expect from the DCU going forward then the future is bright.
This interpretation of the High Evolutionary was wonderful. The MCU has been missing a truly evil, scene stealing villain. I would love to see Iwuji return in the role--and given how things are going with Majors, I would have no objections with the MCU changing up the Kang Dynasty plans and making the High Evolutionary as the new villain.
There is that story where one Kang kills off all the others.Just cast Chukwudi as Kang and say the High Evolutionary is a variant.
Just came back from the film. It was perhaps my most anticipated GOTG film after Endgame. Unfortunately, I thought it to be the weakest entry, overly long with Peter and Gamora's story getting sidetracked. It's not a bad way to end the series and it's one of the stronger marvel entries but could have been 30 to 40 minutes shorter.
Now that we've finally reached this point I do really wonder what this movie would have been had it come out sooner and had come before Thor Love and Thunder. Would love to know how Gunn would have handled Thor. Clearly the script was altered after that movie.
That Jennifer Holland sure is purty though, no wonder Gunn puts her in all his films.
