Game Star Trek Resurgence - new Star Trek videogame announced

From what I'm seeing, it looks like it will have very limited replayability. I just hope this doesn't end up being another black eye on Star Trek gaming. Because I would love to see a big open world game someday.

More chance of hell freezing over, there just isn’t the interest to justify that kind of spending.

That is because CBS/Paramount has turned Star Trek gaming into a joke with their low money, low effort offerings.

I do not think it will be Flatout 3 bad, but i suspect we are talking very short and mediocre, and the no reviews before launch is not a good sign, and top that with the fact that no actual finished gameplay has yet to be released, so they are stacking up everything you do not want a game to have at launch. lol

Of course the worst case senario here would be that they pulled a Interplay SOVF with the trailer back in Jan 2022, with almost nothing done, and now what we are geting here a year later is a game that has reached now the level of game play shown in the Jan 2022 trailer, but that is the worse case senario. lol

It feels like they ran out of money last year, and it has been two guys in a basement desperately working to get it in a condition to pass various certifications. I'm still buying it when it comes out, but I'm not expecting much out of it.

The Star Trek: Bridge Crew DLC has an "open world" mode where you can travel to different planets and systems and deal with random things that pop up. It's pretty cool. You don't even need a VR headset for that game anymore.

^^^I love BC, but they killed the game right out of the starting gate by locking it into VR hardware only, when what they should have done was made it support both normal 2d and Vr setups, as they laster did, but by then the game was dead...... and their second mistake was locking it down to online only, so no modding, i mean we could be sitting with a ST game that modders could have brought to life, but nope, another lost opportunity flushed down the toilet. :(

Well 6 days to go, so i think we can safely say that finished reviews for this game will not appear until after launch....so but good luck to all the brave souls that pre-ordered. :p

Blind fan loyalty will make up a big chunk of sales I bet - it looks fun but mediocre in scale.
