Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Having a brake cable snap on a downhill road as a teen wasn't a nice experience either. Plowed into the back of a station wagon due to that event and had to have stitches.

Also has anyone here tried an Impossible Burger? What were your impressions? I have I rather enjoyed it.
That's no way to die. Jumping on a bicycle with the seat missing.

Didn't notice too much taste difference with the Impossible Burger at Carl's Jr. It did seem to settle a bit weird in my stomach. Since the price was significantly more than the regular burger, I haven't had another.

I am more conservative in some places and somehow found a date.

My wife was not happy ;)

Please, no bedroom tales are required.

Our neighbor's little kids have just discovered "Ding dong ditch." They ran over to my door, kicked really hard and then ran off...forgetting that all the houses here have cameras out front so I can just watch them run away and hide behind their dad's car...waiting for me to come out, which of course I didn't. That and I could hear them giggling through my window.

Stealthy they are not.

So I saw on the Live Science site that there was a penis shaped ice berg floating in Conception Bay, near the Newfoundland, Canada town of Dildo. Which is not far from the town of Spread Eagle. People are having a field day with this, some are calling it the Boner Berg. Look it up, it is hilarious.

Just please don't post any pictures here... Google will have a fit!

Well, at least it wasn't a burnin' bag of dog shit.

I had a few of the Burger King Impossible Whoppers when I was working on getting rid of meat. I started out as just vegtarian for a few months before I went full on vegan, and I did like the,, but since I don't like plain burgers and the BK sauce has dairy and they'd don't offer non-dairy cheese, we stopped going once I went full vegan.
I haven't had any of the Impossible stuff since I went vegan, my go to brand for vegan meat is Gardein. Almost everything Gardein that I've had I've really enjoyed.

Right-wingers keep starting dating apps where like-minded people can find love, only to see each fail miserably. At the same time, young conservatives on college campuses admit their political views have kept them from finding dates.

Listening to them whining about the rapid changes in a progressive society while their pool of potential mates shrinks, I can almost hear Spock say:

"If conditions change more quickly than a species can evolve, and members of that species lack the traits they need to survive in the new environment, the likely result will be extinction."

To quote the great Captain James T Kirk "then let them die"

Unfortunately, in some US states, that can get you shot.

I also could not resist mine. Carry on.

And my formerly hard held conservative views have changed since about 2016.

I am generally conservative but I deviate wildly in two areas: healthcare and guns.

I fucking hate guns. Far as I'm concerned they should all be banned. Hell, the only reason we have a Second Amendment in the first place is because there was no standing army when it was written (all able bodied male gun owners were meant to BE the army - they were meant to strengthen state security, not destroy it!). Now that we have had an army for awhile, we no longer need the amendment. Simple as that.

And I believe in full universal health care. Never expected to believe it, but now I do. (don't worry, the government wouldn't be providing the healthcare, just paying for it)

Oh, and I never voted for Trump. ;)

I finally got rid of the other chair I had in the house, old office chair I used in the room where my computer is, as I bought a new one last year. Anyway I moved it onto the porch out the front, reason being that after many years it kept going down despite me using the lever to raise it, I put that down to the gas cylinder in the base having worn itself out a bit. Anyway lowered it all the way and now it's a comfy spot on the front porch to watch the world go by.
