Spoilers Picard News & Reviews from Outside Sources

Same here, heck I'd love to hear Kurtzman and Matalas batting ideas around on the phone & in person.

It couldn't be any worse than Dave Filoni and John Favrau who i am convinced plan their story ideas by having action figures fight each other

RLM review it up. They loved it. Got to agree with them about the whole "stitched up and repaired" thing, I absolutely hated Nemesis being the end for this crew.

I can't stay awake with those guys.

What's on the telly instead?

That's a really good sign... there's likely a portion of the potential audience that's open to trying it out, but remained burned/skeptical. This could encourage some late sign up numbers.

First Star Trek and only the second Paramount+ show to hit the top 10 streaming shows.

No way that Picard season 3 doesn't launch a Star Trek: Legacy, I mean the popularity of Pike's character was enough to get Strange New Worlds made, and this is orders greater, I mean its the thing Paramount wanted out of its live action series starting with Discovery, and when that suffered with low ratings, Picard which only achieve that with season 3. I wouldn't be surprised if its doing so well that Paramount+ sees somekind of bump ratings bump in other Star Trek series.

Numbers from the week of 27 February 2023 were the first to be reported in the Nielsen ratings. They're now up to 20 March.

Accordingly, we have the grand total of four weeks in which P+ has been included. Picard made the top ten for one of those (13 March). It is unclear how the ratings will hold up over the remainder of the season, or how this compares with other Trek series.

Further, by far the main drawcard of S3 is the TNG cast being reunited and having one last adventure. The popularity of that does not necessarily translate to a show centred on a bunch of entirely different characters, with a bunch of other legacy cameos.

"So you got a new Star Trek series for me?"
"Yes sir, I do. Star Trek Legacy"
"Oh, sounds prestigious. What's it about?"
"Well, I figure we'd continue where season 3 of Picard ended."
"That's that show everyone loves right now!"

I know exactly who your impersonating, I can picture him playing both parts in.my head perfectly LMFAO.

If Matalas tried to do things too different he will be attacked like the other showrunners have been. People were on his twitter insulting him after episode 4 when Riker was upset with Picard and accusing him of never having seen TNG.

And personally, I did not feel that Riker would ever speak to Picard that way, or in front of the bridge crew like that. I felt that was done to give the episode a powerful dramatic punch at the end but it went too far. I'm glad the next episode walked it back, but it didn't read as true for me at all.

Worst moment of the season for me, hands down.

Other than having THE ENTIRE FLEET at any location at any time.
