The reality is, most people aren't going to conform to your world views.

Exactly. Star Trek teaches us as much. We all have opposing views but we can overcome our personal biases to become better than we were before. It's literally the reason the UFP exists and why Star Trek exists.
Just so we're clear. The world view that you're defending is the right to wish death upon someone over creative choices you don't agree with. Just so we're clear. That this is a common thing and should be tolerated in fandom. Ok, gotcha.
The UFP worked with Klingons, Cardassians, Romulans.
They knew what type of atrocities and monsters many of the people in their respective governments were.
All who know how they behave; yet over time, they changed them, eventually integrated them into the UFP.
We're not defending him but we aren't punishing him either by spreading further negativity. Like I said, it's not our place.
Well, no. The reason it exists is to entertain and to make money. It also presents an optimistic world view that also tended to recognize the darker sides of humanity and would work to clarify miscommunications.
I would welcome it if someone said, "Ok, I don't wish Kurtzman dead. I just hate what he's done to Star Trek." Hey, I can understand that. But, there's a line for me. And that's my line and I'll make no apologies for it.
If it's not our job as fans to police our own, whose job is it? We police our own by not supporting this kinda bullshit. To wish death upon someone is NOT alright. Any person who would do such a thing is not someone to be praised or awarded for their actions. They SHOULD be called out on the carpet.
The World View is that we're all free to agree to disagree on how we all behave.

You take one statement, and decided to pass judgement on him like Judge/Jury/Executioner.

People talk about being dismissive of other people's feelings and then comments like this dismiss a person's viewpoint.
Trek Yards Ain't even on my top 10 lists of YT channels I even care about much less top 10 lists of channels that I think are the worst. It's just a channel that I had limited interest in before and no interest in now supporting because of personal values.
