Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

I’ve enjoyed Season 3, but I can’t help feeling that once the dust has settled a bit and people have calmed a little, people will remember Season 1 as the best of the 3.
Season One certainly had the most promise, being the first season and all.

I wasn't aware there were rules to this game.
The game never ends….

I wonder how a redo of the trilogy would go with the Borg being the overarching threat but each season having their own villain plans that the Borg take advantage of and capitalize to further their goals.

The 1st season would have Borg sleeper agents on the cube try to assimilate the extra-galactic AI.
The 2nd try to assimilate a dying Q or retro-actively assimilate the other collective/undo its existence. The weird anomaly that no one's ever explained could be a super-borg collective that the Jurati-alt collective stops from time-space traveling and yada yda.

I loved season 1 (hail the great Michael Chabon) but season 3 is better, more epic.

season 1 teased us about possible returns of Data (and instead ended up killing him again) and the Borg (the captured Borg cube storyline had a lot of potential but went nowhere) and season 3 delivered on those with spades.

Canadian PVR's are listing next week's episode as 1.5 hours. That time includes commercials, so take away 20 minutes or so.

I'm so looking forward to seeing this show wraps up all the story arcs for the different characters and the return of the real Borg and defeat of the Queen and her planned Borg invasion against Earth for good and the changelings will be stopped and end the threat to the federation and Starfleet.

The fandom will start to complain in no time about how plots are being rehashed and old enemies re-appear, etc etc. There IS such a thing as too much nostalgia, which IS what the show would heavily rely on.

Trek has ALWAYS reused scripts (ENT's "Doctor's Orders" is a reworking of VOY's "One." ENT's "Similitude" is a reworking of VOY's "Tuvix.")

Alice was voicing the Queen. And apparently didn't show her because Janeway did a number on her.

I was wondering who it was.

Up until now, I thought it was Annie Wersching. :shifty:

Between Picard and Lower Decks, Alice has had a career revival!
