Spoilers Who is the mastermind in Season 3 of Picard?

I think some journalist who saw the final episode said something about that the end of Picard would change the franchise forever. What if they don’t actually manage to completely reverse the effects of the Borg transporter virus? It would make most of the federation personnel some kind of Borg hybrid. The implications could be a cool premise for future shows in the 25th century

Maybe they'll finally do away with The Borg all together.

I have to groan at what I think is coming in the finale, I don't think the writers did their real world technological research. More small universe syndrome coming. Don't make 25th century tech seem like 1960s tech please Terry. :borg:

I think the most disappointing in terms of world building has been Discovery. 2 seasons in the future, not a single hint at what changes barred the Emerald Chain… truly a missed opportunity.

picard, on the other hand, does not need to world build something that has been world built extensively - plus the ten episodes format does not really help out there.

I have not seen it directly, but on a private Discord server where I am seeing plot lines and images from episode 10 they are saying Q is back, and they filmed another "Humanity on trial court scene" with Q.

Good god, if that’s true (and that’s a big if), they’re really doing the whole kitchen sink, aren’t they?

"What is it you're trying to tell me?"

"You'll find out... and if you're very lucky I'll drop by to say hello, from time to time. See you, out there."

Indeed. But then again

If they are going for a proper swan song, it makes some sense to repeat that. It might make the AGT thing a little less special in way, but it does make a proper bookend again. One that ended because of the TNG films.

The major downside is that they probably have to make sure there is never the full reunion again if Legacy (or similar) ever gets the go ahead.

I'd give Terry credit for retconning things if he hadn't been at least partially in charge of the things he's retconning.

I love this show, all three seasons, but it has been a hot mess from the jump.

Makes Discovery look tame by comparison.
