Spoilers Frontier Day .... What the Heck is that in the Background?!?

There's also a spiral-rift-thing (the same one?) in this trailer shot of the Ent-F:

That's no firework, it's a transwarp conduit

You know what's weird? If you look carefully, a whole bunch of those fireworks are actually the exact same VFX element, just color-shifted, flipped, and rotated. (Blue, yellow, and red at top right. Green to the left of the station. Green bottom right.) And the other bursting style is re-used too. There's actually only two, maybe three different fireworks. Which makes it even more likely that spiral is something else, as many have said.

It's the Inquiry class all over again! Hacks! ;)

Maybe it's the rift to the Aenigma Nebula that's been opened for the after party at The Captain's Table ;)

Also fireworks don't seen to ha e changed much in the 25th century. Lol

Species 8472 gravimetric distortion/quantum singularity? Or a Catherine Wheel?

You gotta love how Starfleet often has only one ship in the whole sector for a galaxy-threatening event, but they pull them all in for a party. ;)

It was suggested in one of the episodes of PIC that they decided to have the whole fleet for Frontier Day... which doesn't make any sense as it suggests SF would pull ships from patrol, borders, and even deep space missions to do this.

Captain of a Ship in the beta quadrant: We're 5 years away at maximum warp, we can't just get there in hours.
SF: Just replicate the modifications for the QS v2 onto the warp core and slipstream in. You can cross 10 000 ly's in 1 minute with it.
Captain of a ship in the beta quadrant: We spent years travelling at a snails pace exploring, and now, JUST for this occasion, you want us to SLIPSTREAM IN back for a few minutes?
SF: Yes. Those are your orders. See you soon.
Captain of a Ship in the beta quadrant: Remind me to write a complaint on whoever it is in SF that makes these ridiculous decisions to constantly develop but never use all our good toys and fire them.
Ensign: We're out here to discover, not diminish from the human condition.
Captain: The human condition IS to innovate and use science and technology to help us better understand the world around us. Shelving mind blowing breakthroughs that would make our jobs easier wouldn't take anything away from it... it would broaden our reach.
Ensign: I uh... the human condition?
Captain: We are part of a highly advanced interstellar union comprised of over 150 different alien species spread over 8000 ly's... there is no human condition, because its not just humans. Your 'view' is very speciest Ensign... similar to people in the past who still enslaved and consumed animals.
