Feline Follies

Struggling to get my cats to calm down around each other. Hilde is great when she’s alone, but when Morgana is around she gets agitated and chases him around. Morgana lets me pet him when he’s on his favorite perch, but if I approach him anywhere else he acts like I’m going to murder him.

Not sure how to make Morgana feel safe and get them to chill out around each other and finally get the door separating their halves of the house permanently open. Even questioning if I needed a second cat so Hilde didn’t get lonely when I was on vacation.

Funny thing our almost 15 year old cat is really changing. She is still mostly herself. But one thing she doesn't like to lay in her main window with the blinds open wide. She used to demand they be opened and she would look over the yard as her first thing in the mornings. But now she won't lay there until I leave the blinds pulled but open so she can see out. It is getting really sunny out now, well, not today, but it is working on it. So maybe she is getting too hot or just doesn't like people or animals to see her anymore. Whatever she wants, just strange. Anyone else have a cat do that? I really don't know what to expect as she is aging, I mean what she herself will do. I know most of what to watch for. Just what will she do?

Perhaps the bright light now bothers her eyes? My hubby has become VERY sensitive to bright light and as a kid, it never bothered him. Years of sun exposure takes a toll on your eyes.
