Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

Ok I think I have a possible set up for the Section 31 show.

The head of S31 - like Charlie in Charlie’s Angels - is the revived Kirk.

He is older and simply focused on preserving the Federation.

Shatner could do voice-only (literally from home) and / or blue screen work (again from a small set / at home).

And yes I’m hoping he’s in the last episode bringing S31’s resources to bear. Where are they anyway?? If the changelings were in charge of it, they wouldn’t have to steal anything!

Must-see TV!!

They had no idea what they were unleashing when they put in that fun little Kirk Easter egg...

Still think it’s a valid question- where is S31 in all this? Knocked out (so why steal anything and raise suspicions?) Involved and will save the day? Picard and Titan and maybe the museum ships have infinitely less resources than S31.

If I were the changelings, S31 would be the first thing I'd take out of the picture. They created the virus after all.

Agreed. However, S31 have been conspicuously absent from all the events of PIC, outside of the occasional name-drop. This whole season has their DNA all over it, but without any actual overt presence. This is as it should be for any clandestine intelligence service. It's just that they were never that good at it until now. DSC messed them all up with their black-on-black "hey, don't look at me, I'm with Section 31" leather uniforms and badges. If they are involved, perhaps this final season of Picard is going to be a backdoor pilot for them, albeit in a different timeframe.

Or, maybe Section 31 was the Changelings' first target, and they were wiped out before all the events that occurred since S1, which is why we haven't seen them operating in the 25th century. They may already be completely gone.

Well, at least we got one answer

Or they could do what they in the OG CAs and just show him communicating via speakerphone.

They are going to pull a Battlestar Galactica right? All the current Federation ships are networked and will be compromised and it will be down to the Picard crew to man a mini fleet of the ships at the museum that arent networked. Seven taking Voyager, Worf on the Defiant and Jack with the Constitution-A etc, with a skeleton crew from the Titans compliment.

Yes.

In The Offspring, Troi could sense Lal's feelings. I think she's going to end up sensing Lal in the new Android and is going to be the key in getting all the personalities to merge.

The resulting personality will be mostly Data due to B4 having a second copy of Data inside him. While separate, it doesn't help because of how timid B4 is, but when together it will be vital.
