It's not about Picard, Terry or even you. It's about the over the top, hyperbolic, seemingly sycophantic approach that can only praise something they like by tearing something else down. Plus I'm not a fan hype. I love Bruce Springsteen, but the statement by Jon Landau "I saw my rock and roll past flash before my eyes. I saw something else: I saw rock and roll's future and its name is Bruce Springsteen." was a bit too much.
Which is honestly fine. Just don't take it so personally man.
Praising one series in comparison to another is perfectly valid. Some fans see effective storytelling and character work in Picard S3 that they couldn't find in the previous Pic seasons or Discovery, and that's fair discourse.
If your love for Discovery is strong, any criticism towards it really shouldn't shake it.
You're getting your Tilly show. I'm getting something to laugh at. Win win.
