Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

I have to wonder if...somehow...Shinzon is involved.

I know, I know, he's supposed to be dead. But the knife Vadic has looks very similar to one Shinzon had in Nemesis, and Shinzon is the one person who would really, really want to have access either Picard's body or his son's DNA (as he needs it in order to stablize himself).

Maybe the skull-head guy is actually Shinzon?

Of course, this doesn't answer the question of how he managed to come back to life after being impaled/his ship blowing up. And it doesn't explain what the hell is going on with Jack's visions.

The cost of getting Tom Hardy would bankrupt the show. Unless they use a digitally de-aged Stewart.

"Somehow, Palpatine returned."

You know, we never saw the Viceroy (played by Ron Perlman) actually die. We just saw him fall. Skullhead certainly looks a lot like a Reman as well.

Maybe the Viceroy survived, and he has some plan to create a new Shinzon/force grow it to adulthood rapidly?

I'd lose my shit if the entity controlling the Changelings was Future Guy or maybe a Suliban. We haven't even seen a cameo of one of them since Enterprise.

Also, is the entity voiced by Christopher Heyerdahl?

My guess for the next episode is they’ll have Picard contact Troi about Riker’s capture.

Troi will be shown to be alright, which runs counter to the end of the previous episode.

It’ll leave the viewer guessing as to which Troi is the changeling; the one Picard is talking to, or the one with Riker.

At least that’s how I’d write it, haha.

I think I know who the might be showing up in Episode 7.

This is a guess but it's a good guess IMHO and if so is a major spoiler.

Here's a teaser frame from The Ready Room podcast teaser for this week where Wheaton says there will be a major guest reprising their role in the next episode and revealing the name would give the game away.

...and...

Here is a photo of Jeffrey Combs sitting down.

It's Weyoun.

Not sure if this has been speculated yet, but...
...I think we'll see the Enterprise-D back in action before this is over.
1. We've already heard reports
about photos of Geordi on what looks to be the Enterprise-D bridge.
2. Picard mentioning she was his favorite in Episode 1. Foreshadowing that he'll end up back aboard her.
3. The whole thing about how nobody wants the E-D models at 10 Forward. That will be paid off when "the Fat One" saves the day and everyone loves it again.
4. The mention of how all the new ships are networked. The E-D wouldn't be.
5. Geordi is in charge of the museum. It wouldn't be surprising to learn he kept her fully functional, perhaps for some pomp and circumstance for Frontier Day.
6. I know they have said this is not a TNG reunion...but seeing as the E-D was a character of the show in her own right, it'd be more than fitting for her to make an appearance.

So I'm calling it. We'll see her in action once again and I am certain there will be onions being chopped in the room when she is.

Almost certainly an alias, similar to what Discovery did with Voq, considering there's no IMDB credits save for that episode.

It's someone we know. Not just a character - an actor. Who is the question.

Googling that name turns up results for an LA news anchor, plus his Instagram where he says he's the voice of the Face.

Idk, could be a misdirect. Seems odd they'd hire a weatherman to be the voice of the overarching bad guy.

In short: I'm not entirely sure why, but I think Irumodic Syndrome is very important to the overall plot.

Perhaps the whole thing is just an Irumodic Syndrome induced delusion by Picard and the people after him aren't changelings but doctors and orderlies trying to return him to the ward he wandered away from. That would be quite a twist.

Sigma 9 is what Bashir didn't have when he was denied access to Odo's medical scan data. Sisko had it, and they sent an old file instead.

I'm wondering if that's why she slapped Riker in the trailer:

Troi: "You slept with a CHANGELING?"
Riker: "Let me explain ..."
