Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

It seems annoying that Picard isn't wearing at least a Starfleet uniform jacket. Patrick Stewart reportedly doesn't want to wear anything related to Starfleet. Again we see his combadge of the chancellor of the Academy. But he could at least put on a uniform jacket like his son is wearing now who is not in the Fleet. Really annoying. He coud wear Nike tracksuit.
Why is it annoying?

Kirk spent most of two whole movies wearing a civilian jacket with a belt around it. Picard doesn't need to wear a uniform jacket any more than Norah Satie wore a uniform in TNG though she was clearly still a Starfleet officer. Civilian clothing doesn't make Picard any less of an Admiral.

Also, he's a retired Admiral. Doesn't need to wear the uniform if he doesn't want to.

Yeah, which makes Satie even more of an example because she still IS an active duty Admiral heading up a security investigation and she spends her entire episode in a 24th century civilian dress. Picard is no longer bound to wear a uniform.

Available for pre order is the Season 3 Soundtrack on Vinyl. Amazon has it listed as Vol. 1, so not entirely sure if that means a Vol. 2 is coming at a later date. However the Vinyl does omit a number of tracks that are listed on the CD / Digital format due out in late April.

EDIT: The entire track listing is available and it could potentially contain spoilers so just beware :)

So, I'm going to be in the UK for vacation next week, and am wondering about how I'm going to watch Episode 8.

Paramount Plus will not work in the UK correct? But I can just log into my Prime account and find Picard?
My P+ works. But I’m a UK domiciled subscriber. Most apps what are international work overseas. I went to Cyprus once and took my Kindle Fire for some poolside reading, accidentally tapped Netflix and was marvelling at the films available there which weren’t at home. Still did reading though.

Well Picard is on P+ in UK now, so presuming that if you can log in, you should be fine. But it will be later than in the US. Midnight, or just before thu/fri is when it been dropping aside fron E5 which a little earlier than even US, (accidentally). However, the clocks went forward, so from this week it's possible we won't get it until the 1am on Friday morning. I'm really hopingbthat isn't the case, but I'm going to have to wait until this Friday to know.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but its Terry Matalas talking with a whole bunch of folks, all critics of New Trek, like Critical Drink, Star Trek legend Robert Meyer Burrent ( of ST2 fame, with his puppies ), and Nerdotic, David Cullen, etc..., and its a blast, everybody is having fun, folks disagree on stuff, but come to a respectful understanding. Even of your not a fan of all these folks its worth skipping to the part where Terry shows up, alot of good answers and you see what a great giy he is.

The only one of those I can even watch more than one video of is The Critical Drinker and that's because he's had some good takes on movies I like. The rest...nah, I'm good if it's all the same with everybody.
