That sounds like a Defenders movie to me.

I guess those characters have been on both teams, haven't they?

It could very well be that they're a version of the Young Avengers without actually using the word young. Ie, that they'll just be 'the Avengers' (or maybe 'the New Avengers').

Or if they didn't want to go with either of those there's also Mighty Avengers, and if they don't go with an Avengers name at all, I think most of those of those characters have also been members of the Champions.

It should be pointed out that the second Young Avengers series wasn't actually titled "Young Avengers". It was titled "Avengers: Children's Crusade". Granted, the characters aren't necessarily going to be children, but it does show there's precedent for the team simply being called "Avengers".

I suspect the won’t go with “Young Avengers” as a title. The only reason for a name like that is brand expansion, but in movie land Marvel Studios itself is the brand. They don’t need to put Avengers in the title to get audience buy-in, anymore than they needed to call Guardians “Cosmic Avengers.”

Not interested. I would be if this was only about the return of the Punisher with Jon Bernthal.

I'd like them to adapt that story where Punisher realizes his normal weapons just don't cut it anymore...so he ends up with a Stark armor. I can't remember if he steals it or if Fury gives it to him and Punisher keeps it.

Mixed feelings. I liked Bernthal's take on Frank Castle, but I really don't care for the Punisher as a character. I felt his DD appearance and season 1 of his show did a good job avoiding the glorification of his violence, portraying it as a failing he needed to learn to overcome, but season 2 gratuitously undid all that and just celebrated the violence. I'm afraid that bringing him back will just be more of that. The more they use the character, the more they have to prevent him from growing or changing.

Punisher was probably one of the lesser aspects of Daredevil, aside from how they used Bullseye.

I never bothered watching the second season of The Punisher but I at least enjoyed Bernthal's performance on Daredevil.

That all said, this tidbit is far more newsworthy for me:

I stop taking the opinion of people seriously in the very split second that they use "woke" as a pejorative.

I thought The Punisher series was the best of the Netflix marvel shows so that's good to hear. Too bad about Anm Will and Nelson, hopefully they aren't being recast, just not part of the story yet.

Bernthal did great but I'd trade him without even thinking for Deborah Ann Woll or Elden Henson, and especially for both.

I'm surprised and glad Bernthal is back, he was great on DD Season 2, but I never watched his show. I'm really disappointed Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson aren't back, they were a huge part of the original show and it just won't be the same without them.

I was neutral to Bernthal's Punisher so I'm fine with seeing him return, but I'd also be fine with The Punisher in general just not showing up in the MCU at this point, honestly. I didn't think that Foggy or Karen's actors in the Netflix show were particularly good, so I don't mind that they're gone. Hopefully we'll get completely rebooted versions of Elektra and Bullseye if they show up, because the versions on the Netflix show were awful.

Ironically, using it like that is cultural appropriation. I find that anyone who uses it as a pejorative is quite likely someone who harbours a lot of opinions I just find offensive--it is a code word to cover up one's unsavoury opinions in an attempt to be socially acceptable.
