Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

My best guess at how Ro returns:

• She is revealed in the last few minutes of this week's episode, but the long talk between her and Picard doesn't happen until next week.
• She's actually either the sole one or part of the group that "brings in the cavalry" and rescues the Titan (has to be, otherwise she wouldn't be introduced in the last act)
• Most speculatively - she knows Vadic, personally.

In all seriousness though, would Terry Matalas have confirmed a major plot point ahead of time if someone had guessed it correctly? I suppose you could always argue that he'd just not respond to those, but there is something to be said for throwing people off the scent too...

They should have Thomas Riker appear anyway for like 5 seconds while Will Riker in the brig, say "Ha ha", then walk off with a gorgeous Orion woman.

It's Picard - the writers like to spell everything out - which is why Bev basically looks at the viewer in the last episode and explains it's not about Jack it was clearly a lure to attract Jean-luc.

Agreed, it's Picard. Shocker for a show titled Star Trek: Picard!

We have Picard, Changelings + Big Event. Following your "what you see is what you get" paradigm, that means Changelings want to impersonate Picard at said event.

To pull this off, the Changelings need the Federation to believe that Picard is alive so a Changeling can impersonate him. If Titan is destroyed with all hands aboard, that's hard to sell!

Riker sends out a distress signal at the very end of ep 3. So I am thinking Starfleet will get the distress signal and Geordi will command a ship to go rescue his friends.

I guess I forgot that. I just feel like it's not a realistic scenario for Geordi to save the day with a museum ship. It's not going to fare well against the Changeling ship. Perhaps more likely getting Picard out of jam within Federation space and then on to point B. But we'll see!

I just hope Geordi steals a fun, recognizable ship from ST canon!

He didn't. He wanted to send one as soon as they were clear of the nebula, but they never got that chance.

Ro would have been the perfect candidate for the role of the freighter captain at the start of the series
. That would have been a nice twist if picard had to ask her for help after her breach of trust.

Then, why Picard? he's just a retired Admiral who no longer have any authority in Starfleet. What make Picard so relevant to those Changelings, to an extend that they have to waste a lot of time to play cat and mouse with him?

Meanwhile, Geordi still an active admiral. He's very relevant as he still has the authority in Starfleet. If they want to cripple Starfleet, they should kill the current man of power, not the previous man of power. It is the same as you wouldn't chase Bill Clinton if you have any problem with United States of America. You seek Joe Biden now.

This is what I found after I read Professor Moriarty in Wikipedia.

Moriarty is a criminal mastermind who uses his intelligence and resources to provide criminals with crime strategies and sometimes protection from the law, all in exchange for a fee or a cut of profit. Holmes likens Moriarty to a spider at the center of a web and calls him the "Napoleon of crime".

After I read this, I start to believe that it is Moriarty who behind all those bounty hunters and terrorist attack in Picard Season 3. It fit perfectly to his characteristic.

Also after I re-watched Ship in the bottle, I can think that this whole season 3 is actually the continuation of that episode. So I think the '90 TNG character who will appear is Barclay. Because Barclay has some connection with Moriarty.
