Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

I wanna see:
  • Still-Ensign Harry Kim at Frontier Day.
  • Photo of Saavik, referencing her captaincy of the original Titan
  • Troi as the hero to defeat Moriarty (good narrative choice here, as Moriarty has to feelings to emphasize)
  • Seven looking directly to the camera, her new captain's pip glimmering, and say "Oh, I'm sure you'll come back to the Titan again soon," before the reveal of "Star Trek: Titan."
  • Ed Speleer's father is: Ghost Candle
I will ascend to a higher state of being if:
  • Benjamin Sisko

I'm all for a Seven of Nine series but I hope the Titan has nothing to do with it. I'm really not a fan of the design.

That Voyager-B, on the other hand...

With all the complaints about nostalgia, making Titan into a knock-off Constitution-class is pretty disappointing and not an aspect I've seen mentioned. I hope we see the original Titan on Lower Decks and Prodigy some (more) so we can appreciate its design.

Really? Missed out on all the complaining about Starfleet going retro did you? It wasn't that fun.

Yeah, she longs for her Ranger days. The new generation of "leaders" in Starfleet have clearly been lacking for some time.

I get the impression, however, that Capt. Shaw has a particular problem in addition to simply being an insufferable tightass. His forcing of Seven to use her given human name, his sneering at both her and Picard over being former Borg and general accusations of mixed loyalties, capped off with getting completely shit-faced at the Captain's Table in front of everyone. He unequivocally hates Borg. Viscerally. His open and unapologetic disdain for anything Borg comes from somewhere - probably a dead loved one on a ship that was lost during either the Wolf 359 or Sector 001 attack (or both).

None of this excuses his lack of professionalism, but there is clearly a reason above and beyond just random Borg-hatred at play here.

the End Credits have a Constellation Class USS Constance which was destroyed one of the stardates given in Best of Both Worlds Part 2. That may be connected to him.

Probably trauma. Hopefully explored well. In the same vein as Stiles, O'Brien, and Sisko but more depth. Maybe.

Ah, yes. That may be it. I noticed a glimpse of that and meant to back and check it out in greater detail - thank you for posting that.

They really like to hide relevant clues in the credits these days - that practice started with the DSC opening credits. There is great hidden significance and symbolism in many of these scenes.

my guess is shaw was at Wolf 359 as a young officer. or maybe even a civilian like Jake Sisko.

If Shaw is supposed to be the same age as Todd Stashwick (54), then he would have been a teen when Wolf-359 happened (assuming S3 takes place in 2405). So, he was probably on board a ship with his family. Possibly the USS Constance shown in the credits.

Trek Core pointed out on Twitter that Beverly had a blood sample hypospray on her ship - with the whole ‘different faces’ line from her son I am reminded of the DS9 blood tests they used to do to identify founders

I think the villains may be using Changeling biological material to somehow alter their appearance possibly down to a cellular level as a means of disguise to aid with their attacks and infiltrate starfleet. One of them is definitely on the Titan and it's the Ensign played by Chad Lindberg who gives Picard and Riker a dirty glare when they first arrive on the Titan and inspect the assembled crew.

Isn't that what biomemetic gel can do too?

According to Bashir: "In the wrong hands, it could be used to make biogenic weapons, or for illegal replication experiments, or to develop organic explosives". As a biologist, the name to me implies that it replicates the function of biological material; some sort of synthetic cytoplasm that can be tailored to emulate specific species and tissues perhaps.
