Plus... y'know, he's not wrong. He has his orders on where to bring his ship, and Picard and Riker are very clearly trying to trick him.
He’s not wrong at all: their plan was really not well planned at all and as a captain he should definitely throw seven in the brig now.

Between BoBW and Emissary it was about a year or two, so it makes sense that Sisko would hold a grudge, but it's been over 30 years in universe here, that would be stretching it.
Perhaps he lost his parents in that battle or to the Borg in another occasion.
My guess is after casting Elnor they realized the actor didn't have the chops for whatever they intended, because just having him sit around and look pretty for two seasons just made no effin sense
This would also explain why he pretty much isn’t in season 2.

The fate of the Artifact was the weakest part of S1.
yeah, what was its fate again?

executive interference led to the creation of the look alike Tallinn

Really? Why would they do that?

I mean, of course interference from the bean-counters is a well known phenomenon, I'm just wondering why THIS particular instance.

If Orla Brady was to be on the show, why would some executive care who she plays?

And which "executives" are we talking about here? It's a streaming show, so no more network...

That's what I thought, though a humorous thought is: "Dad, you're cooking pizzas EVERY DAY. Mom and I would like some salads or even a bunnicorn burger every so often. She thinks you should go on vacation and rethink your cooking habits."
"And not just pizzas, Will, always just one pizza a day!"

Well, Evan Evagora has been getting work outside of Star Trek, and he gave a perfectly fine performance, so I don't think it's a matter of his acting chops.

yeah, what was its fate again?

It crashed on Coppelius after Seven spaced the revived drones. There, Seven killed Zhat Vash operative Neris. That's the last we heard of it. One thing I'm really curious about is the relationship between the surviving XBs and the Coppelius Androids. Maybe the Androids allowed the XBs to settle on their planet?

Given that eddie is one of my TBBS BFFs, I think you totally read that wrong.

It's a fair cop then. :bolian:

I wonder if this might be because Chabon created Laris, and otherwise they would have to pay him residuals all season?

Ditto for Soji and Elnor.

So much so so it even changed class name. :)
That was my only real nitpick……you don’t start work on a ship without detailed plans……they make it sound like the refit was just make it up as you go….and holy shit, we got a whole new class!

He probably felt that going back without asking for a starship command would at least let him keep a foot in the door.
Promising Deanna that he wouldn't be out galivanting around the galaxy.
She knew better.
And look where he is now.

Before Theodor's illness, the whole Riker family seemed to enjoy exploring space. Deanna casually said on Nepenthe that they've been on several ships and not just the Titan.
