i can't speak for all possible stores, but whenever i've bought such items online, they've come in rather plain packages, i.e. no big label on it that says "MENSTRUAL PRODUCT!!!"

i've heard that you can buy them at health food type stores, but i haven't checked.

Just to second this - it's always been my experience that they show up in a plain cardboard carton.

Course, you could always order it from a place that offers gift-wrapping to cheer yourself up.

(Though that could backfire if everybody wants to see you open your present, so maybe not.)

Perhaps I'm more enlightened than most men, but menstural cycles don't bother me any. I've gladly in the past ran out to buy "products" for my girlfriend. Were I at a checkstand and a woman was buying products or a woman customer asked me where they were located I show it to them without a second thought.

Most men tend to get all grossed out whenever I talk about it - even on here.

You know I would never have a guy buy any of the feminine stuff for me, mostly because I know how damn confusing it can be. Especially since you get rather brand associated so trying to explain you want Always, with wings, a certain size, and a certain heaviness would just cause major confusion.

When I did it she told me exactly what she wanted (brand, style, "strength", expected cost, etc.) Wasn't a problem at all. Went it in, picked it up, took it to the check out, smiled at the check-out girl, payed with the card, went back to my girl and it wasexactly what she wanted. Not a big deal at all.

I tried making my own bra once... it might have worked better if I'd had a book and not just been shooting in the dark.


I bought some mascara and eyeliner today. I'm quite looking forward to trying wearing a little makeup. (It does seem like it'll take a little practice to get it to go on where it's supposed to be without getting it all over the rest of my face.)
