A lot of viewers think the OC task force is being shut down by people up above who are corrupt and don't want them connecting the dots back to them, and that Deputy Inspector Goldfarb (aka "Donna Moss") is part of it, so this casino storyline is going to suddenly pivot to something larger. What do you think?
Definitely. Been thinking that she's a crooked cop. Big time. Thought she was involved with the Brotherhood, but it looks like she's tied into the casino people.
How exactly the hell was Goldfarb able to offer Bell a promotion straight to Deputy Inspector? That's three grades above Bell's current rank. Also, I can't say I'm surprised that... Spoiler The father was the one who hired the hit man to kill Pearl And again: Stabler and Leonetti have WAY more chemistry than he ever did with Benson. Not only did they totally do it, but when Leonetti asked Stabler who he was in love with...he should have said "It's you"!
Looks like the casino storyline is over unless there's a bigger bad guy stashed away. In the meantime, the task force will be taking on Dominic Toretto.
And I honestly think Organized Crime has the strongest slate of detectives/characters, even if they aren't always used to their fullest potential every week. The Mothership still feels like a show from the 90's and while I enjoy it nostalgically, I don't know how it will survive long term.
It doesn't have to. Law & Order was cut prematurely in its original run. It was canceled before it had a chance to break the longest running drama record (at the time). If it had gotten a season 21 back then and then only lasted a year or two afterward, it would still have been a satisfying run. Now that it's had its season 21 - too late for the record, I grant you - and is working on 22, I submit that whenever it gets canceled again, those of us who always enjoyed it for more than just nostalgic reasons will be prepared to say goodbye, because TPTB had given a good show a reprieve and a little bit of redemption.
Aren't they supposed to be? Edit: There's no way this thing with Connor (Noah's conveniently out-of-nowhere brother) is done. I am getting some SERIOUSLY creepy vibes from Connor's family. Something's not right here... I'm fairly sure Benson decided to leave the camera where it is so she could catch whoever planted it.

Anyhoo, the SVU ep I just watched ("Jumped In") was, and I believe this is a first for any L&O show, actually written by two of the actors on the show! The story was, anyway. Terry Serpico (Chief McGrath) and Kadia Saraf (attorney Anya Avital) wrote it. Edit: Now I'm on the next ep ("Soldier Up"). When Benson is in the hospital room talking to the kid who attacked her, Duarte talks to the kid in Spanish and Benson doesn't understand. I thought she DOES speak Spanish? Oh, and is it just me, or is Fin being set up for Lieutenant's bars in Bronx SVU?
I actually like this BX9 arc that SVU is doing. It's more interesting than OC, anyway. And I like Duarte a hell of a sight more than Benson. I mean, I actually LAUGHED when Benson saw the tree in the park (with the undies hanging on it) and she screamed at it. The pretentiousness...it burns! Edit: The Mothership episode about the slimy construction developer...what headline was that ripped from?
I've wondered for years what was keeping them from cutting Ice T. He is a beloved character and I love him, don't get me wrong. But if you are looking for a large salary not named Mariska, its him.
