DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

DiCaprio's producing Captain Planet. Apparently, he's a huge fan and this is his big passion project.
Ben10 makes a lot of sense, considering those growing up with the cartoons are about to be old enough to become nostalgic, plus it has big blockbuster potential with it's superhero/monster transformation concept.

The DC films are pretty much following the schedule tossed around in discussion some time ago.

As expected, another Superman film is in development. I doubt the story will have any association with the Coates / JJ film, as that project is still considered "in development", and one might assume it will occupy its own universe

...but the other films..I Am Legend 2? The first one was underwhelming, possibly the worst adaptation of the Matheson novel. I am aware of yet another stab at Salem's Lot. Not sure what to feel about that one, other than hoping its not as awful as that 2004 Rob Lowe miniseries.

Captain Planet? Oh, boy.

Wizard of Oz? Good luck with that one.

I thought Godzilla was this year? Oh well… at least we’ve got the Toho one.

that Meg sequel makes me laugh. It just makes me think of that Family Guy scene about “Big Jaws”. Is it about an even bigger Meg and they have to team up?

In retrospect, Ezra's break-in was actually a good move as it seems all of his other issues have been swept under the rug over a slap on the wrist for stealing a bottle of wine.

As to that proposed slate of films, the preponderance of sequels and branded properties is probably not a bad strategy for getting back in the game if maybe a little sad.

They're knocking out all four DC movies this year. I'm still curious to the nature of the reboot that will take place, just how soft or hard it's going to be.

Similar charges have landed others (i.e., Joe Average) behind bars for months or up to a year, so no one should be shocked to hear anyone think Miller's celebrity status played a role in his light sentence.

Their/They/Them

The only thing I liked about The Batoman was his portrayal of Bruce Wayne. I liked how socially awkward he was. Like he hasn’t built a persona for him yet.

I’ve been watch a lot of Flash recently, preparing for the final season. At the end of season 2, the villain, Zoom says this:

And it made me think of the Cavil situation. He said he was coming back, only for him to say he wasn’t later on. WB are Zoom here. :)

Allegedly this is the WB/Discovery film slate

Captain Planet?! A remake of Under Seige? Ben 10?!

Also the courtroom verdict where Ezra Miller pleads guilty to a burglary case

Man. Nearly every single thing on that list is either a sequel or reboot/remake.

I finally saw Black Adam last night. It was nothing special, but it was fun. Big Terminator 2 vibes between The Rock and the kid. Shame that tease at the end will never go anywhere.
