I would normally defer to the post starter for something like that. It was dahj who hasn't posted since July 2021 in this forum. I don't know if they're active elsewhere in the Trekbbs?
That’s what I’ve seen as well. I suppose it’s moot to the point they were making that they’re done with it all now.
Dahj is active (mostly in TNZ if I’m not mistaken).
That's good. If somebody wants to ask about starting a new thread when the time feels right (ie. we learn more about Gunn's plans), I would support the idea.
What haven't they called "DC Universe" at one point or another? The original comics' reality, the DC Universe Animated Original Movies, the DC Universe streaming service that was absorbed into HBO Max, now this. They're not very good at coming up with new names.
I don't care. I really don't. Whatever Warners plans to call Gunn's new DC franchise, I won't be watching.

The first GOTG can be tossed over the shoulder as well. Nowhere near the best representation of the MCU.
Well, if Gunn's version fails to impress (or surpass what was achieved in the DCEU version), you can bet it may be a long time before WB (read: those holding the purse strings / shareholders) ever greenlights another Superman film--in live action, at least.

Which works better for some opinions than others. Repeatedly and frequently asserting that one does not care about something is... less than convincing.
Which is a travesty and incredibly disrespectful towards the character (and I say that as someone who has never been the biggest fan of the character).
When it's about the only thing someone posts it tends to stand out more.
I think Gunn has indicated that it will be a Superman early in his career but not an origin story - more The Batman than Batman Begins

WB thought Phillips was the best option and begged him for the role.
What on his resume screamed "overseer of a franchise and cinematic universe" that they went to him first?
Yeah, the only reason Philips doesn't have the job now is because he didn't want it. Actively did not want it. The "You can offer me as much as you want, I'm not taking the job" kind of not wanting it.
