Ncuti Gatwa is the 15th Doctor

If only the pullover were a turtleneck. An admittedly biased personal preference to be sure, but I think the Doctor just has more presence with some sort of high collar or other neck covering. Yes, even Whittaker, that scarf she sported in the new year's special featuring the Recon Dalek, that addition really made her outfit "Pop! Pop! Pop!" to quote Sydney Newman.

I bet Character Options, the company with the license to produce DW action figures is cringing at the plaid from a production standpoint. True, they did manage Colin Bakers "technicolor dreamcoat", but that was when sales of action figures was at at all time high. Since then, they had to reuse certain parts for other figures and simplify the paint schemes.

Could engrave/mould it and then dip wash the parts. Might be faster.

I really like Ncuti's outfit, I wonder if the colour of his top will vary like Eccleston's?

Ruby still looks too much like Rose Mk II but hopefully the character will be v different.

They have great chemistry.

Is this what they call corporate synergy?

The costume is ok, not a huge fan of the shirt - especially bright orange. Maybe it will look a bit more subdued on camera.

The shirt's about the only thing saving it for me - plaid is fine, but across the whole costume? It looks a bit too subdued for the Doctor. Ten's pinstripe was all over too but at least that was generally offset by the coat.

I'm sure it'll grow on me.

The Dr does like his plaid, but i think this is the first time the Dr has gone full plaid. (Cue Space balls joke).

But yeah everytime i see something new about the show it seems to get better and better, can't wait.

The houndstooth is a great look - very on-trend and can easily be dressed up if he goes for a shirt and maybe a tie. Possibly a Hefner cravat - that would be hilarious. Accessorise with a hat sometimes, maybe a scarf.

But I love the orange - he’s a man who can wear bold colour, so why not? Makes him easy to spot on screen too.

It's an interesting mix of relatively fashionable and outright loud, which seems appropriate for the Doctor.

I don't really see what they have in common other than being young white blonde women?

Really like the new look. Except for the bling. Did he REALLY need a gold chain? He's not from Earth, ya know. The rings are fine. Other Docs have worn them. (Pertwee had a ring with a blue stone in it).
