He didn't, I don't think. Earlier today I was thinking he smoked in FYEO or Octopussy during a dinner scene with Kristatos or Magda but he just ate food in both films.

One of the biggest reasons (in addition to the overt comedy) most of Moore's run was Bond-in-name-only.

He also had a cigarette case with an x-ray screen that he used to crack Drax's safe in Moonraker.

That's very good but obviously so subjective and some glaring omissions for me.

    "You've had your six"

    "I'm just a professional doing a job." " So am I."

    CR's PTS

"Don't you want to know why?"

    The cello!

    Bond in a tank!

    The rooftop in YOLT

"I certainly wouldn't have killed you before"

    "Last rat standing"

And of course Tracy's death :wah:

I was going to do this on Twitter once but it's interesting to consider the outlier Bonds. IE the one Bond to do something or the one Bond NOT to do something

Rog is the only 007 who never drives an Aston (The Cannonball Run doesn't count)

Craig is the only Bond who never smoked.

Rog is the only Bond to go into space

    Any others spring to mind?

    Also missing from that video:

"Look after Mr. Bond. See that SOME harm comes to him."

Lazenby plays the only Bond to have gotten married.

    Craig plays the only Bond
shown to have been a father.

    Craig plays the only Bond
    to have died???

Technically he gets married in YOLT. It's null and void because he got married under an assumed name (while disguised as a Romulan) but it was a real ceremony.

The scene of the ceremony is beautiful, but the character corresponding to Kissy Suzuki did not become his wife, and they weren't married (technically or otherwise).

Interestingly, in novel canon, Bond and Suzuki have a child.

Kissy says "You gave false name to priest" which implies it was a genuine ceremony. It only becomes null when someone corrects the official record of Kissy marrying...er...do we get to know what Bond's Japanese name is?

The Sun are doubling down on Aaron Taylor-Johnson now, claiming he's already filmed the gun barrel sequence! His odds have plummeted with the bookies. I guess the question is, is the Sun onto something or of ATJ potentially a decoy for someone else?

I also wondered, given he's left the Witcher and it's now uncertain whether he'll ever play Supes again, whether Cavill might be back on Eon's radar? He's 39 which I suspect might be at the upper end of what they're looking for age wise, but you never know.

My best guess is that, even aside from the age issue, having been Superman/the DCEU, The Witcher, and, to a lesser extent, MI & Man from UNCLE, Eon may feel that there’s a degree of franchise overexposure with Cavill. But we’re in fairly unknown territory for the Bond franchise so who knows?

Both OHMSS and DAF celebrate birthdays over the next three days, the former turning 53 and the latter 51.

Well supposedly he's going to do a Warhammer TV show!

I mean he's 39 now and he'd be at least 40 by the time they start filming, maybe even 41, certainly 41/42 by the time the film comes out. I mean historically that's fine, it's in line with both Dalton and Brosnan, but they would make a film every 2 years whereas now I guess we're looking at 3/4 years (at least) between films. With this in mind, and if he were to 'retire' from being 007 around the same time Daniel Craig did then I suppose Eon will be considering that they might only get 3, maybe 4 at most, films out of him, whereas go with Aaron Taylor Johnson and you could easily double that.

For me I'd rather have three films with a great Bond than 6 with an ok Bond but I get their conundrum.

Worthington's ok but I've never found him that engaging TBH (but to be fair I haven't always found Taylor-Johnson that engaging either, though it varies depending on the role)

At the end of the day there's never been a Bond I didn't like (even if I like some more than others) so I trust Eon to get the right man for the job.
