Spoilers Andor season one

Its finally over, thank the fucking Force.

What a giant pile of shit. Literally irredeemable, a show made by people who loathe Star Wars for people who loathe Star Wars. It didn't even bother to tie up any plot points, hell it didn't even really explain most of them. I still don't fucking know why the evil "Rebels" want to kill Andor, it seriously just can't be because he saw a few faces and heard what are probably code names. Mon Mothma's plot was like a narcoleptic hamster on a wheel, going nowhere slowly. Andy Serkis was literally meaningless to the show, they just stuck Andor in prison with him presumably because they wanted to put any semblance of plot involving Andor into a complete stop for half of the (horrendously padded, overly long) season. The Imperial Agent and the Bureaucrat were just fucking terrible, but at least the Imperial Agent kind of had a point.

To make matters worse, none of the terrible characters died (the blonde evil Rebel could easily have been killed), and at the end Skarsgard (I don't remember the characters name, Luthien or something similar), who originally hadn't even wanted to kill Andor (it was his shitty assistant who put the hit out, from what I could tell she did it on her own initiative), not only went full "Kill Andor", he then didn't fucking do it, presumably because he'd just read the script for Rogue One and knew Andor was needed for it to work. Then we end the season showing the Death Star, presumably to remind people that this is still pretending to be a show set in the Star Wars universe, and isn't just someone's unproduced modern day Earth set "political thriller" with some Star Wars elements shoved in to get Disney to pay for it

What a dreadful, dreary, anti-Star Wars pile of shit. Of course the snobs who love "Prestige Dramas" are loving this show, its the biggest hate letter to Star Wars as a franchise that has ever been officially made. I definitely won't be watching season 2, and I hope the viewership is so low (which apparently it is, snobs ranting and raving is apparently not helping the show with actual Star Wars fans) that after the (probably contractually mandated at this point) Season 2 we never see a pile of crap like this connected to Star Wars ever again.

There's a whole bunch of stuff to unpack here and I could give a warning for any number of reasons, but this is trolling, and you have received a warning for such.

Some interesting points of view floating around here, as usual. For myself, I loved the show. It was nice to see a different view of the Star Wars universe. Andor had much more of a 'street level' feel to it than much of the other SW material. Looking forward to Season-2.

I mentioned earlier in the threat that I'm curious what will end up happening with Leida, and Perrin, but after what she did in the finale, that curiosity is even stronger. At this point, once they realize exactly what she's been doing, they definitely won't be happy, but the question will be if they're more loyal to her or the Empire. And then there's the question of what happens when she makes her big speech from Rebels, will they stay loyal to the Empire or side with her and the rebellion. I definitely wouldn't put it past the Empire to use them against her in some way, either as leverage, hostages, or have them public denounce her and declare their undying loyalty to the Empire if they don't go with her.

If this show is too complex for you then you can always go watch the sequel trilogy if that is more on your level.

No one is forcing you to watch Andor.

And it looks like everyone on here disagree with you.

There were some very solid connections. Mothma's relative participated in the Aldhani heist with Andor, and Luthen is also a solid link between them. It's fairly reasonable to expect that Mothma and Andor will be in direct contact or even flat out working together in S2.

That's not really strong enough for me. If Mon Mothma had a direct link to Cassian or had served as a catalyst to his arc, I would have tolerated her strong presence in this season. Honestly, I feel that the presence of both Luthen and Vel (is that her name?) should have been stronger than Mothma's.

Even "Rogue One" and "Solo" had a "street level" feel to them.

Just finished Andor this afternoon: Rix Road was a fantastic slow burn funerary march, leading to the climactic showdown!

Overall - Andor is such a solid series, beautifully detailed, with well-realised, compelling characters - it’s an absolute delight spending time in these various corners of the SW galaxy!

And I cannot wait for S2!

In terms of quality scripting, characterisations, plotting, etc - Andor is the new yardstick by which I will be measuring future SW against.

Nah, I just let the vitrolic critcs of any genre of entertainment stew in their own juices. You can't rescue everybody with a diametrically opposing viewpoint, just try to be out of their field of fire.

The fact that your avatar is a unpopular version of Deadpool and this post just make it even more clear you like to post things that go against what most people feel and think to get attention.
You don't form opinions of your own, you just look for what most people like and go against it so your notifications go up and you feel like you're getting attention.
Hoorah for you.

Mods/Admins..... I am aware that posting this will get me into trouble and that's ok. Any action required against this post I accept. I'm just so done with people like this person and felt the need to say something. I apologise and accept any reprecussion.
