Yeah, he's been on that trajectory for a while now, it's unfortunate. But it's not untypical for older people, some stop giving a fuck about anything. Mostly to do with not being at peace with the nearing end, I guess. Which is funny taking in account what he mentions in regards to his docu, his outlook in life etc.
Also, this quote from the article, regarding current Trek:
“I got to know [creator] Gene Roddenberry in three years fairly well,” said Shatner, “he’d be turning in his grave at some of this stuff.”
Haha, I for one am pretty sure that at this point Roddenberry is turning in his grave at all the people stating he'd be turning in his grave - especially the ones concerned with his """vision""".
That's a lot of captains.I'd personally love a massive multi-show crossover, heck maybe even multiversal? (mind you the new comic series seems to be covering that!)
Pine, Stewart, Shatner, Mount, Wesley etc imagine that?!
When I read that, I couldn't help but think about Shatner Kirk's final scene in GEN.After recent events, forget about Shatner.

He's hard at work making sure bridges are burned between him and everyone else on Star Trek.
Good point.Of course he's open to the idea, very few actors are not open to ideas. They might turn down specific projects for a variety of reasons but when the questions is about a hypothetical thing in the future the answer is pretty much always an automatic "Yes, if ...".
They'll do another X-Men thing, where he dies in one movie then is back in the next like nothing happened. The fact he is open to another movie seems to imply he won't die in Season 3.
Well he did take over his brother's body that had no neural activity. They'll do another X-Men thing, where he dies in one movie then is back in the next like nothing happened.
Who just happened to look exactly like him and be paralysed the exact same wayWell he did take over his brother's body that had no neural activity.
It’s from the comics.Who just happened to look exactly like him and be paralysed the exact same way![]()
Kelvin Timeline PicardThey'll do another X-Men thing, where he dies in one movie then is back in the next like nothing happened.
The first two seasons of Picard have snuffed out whatever interest I might have had in the future of TNG.
They didn't exactly win me over with the Trailer of Doom.Season 3 of Picard is supposed to be very different and alot better then Seasons 1&2.
Trailers are always out of context. Never trust them. They didn't exactly win me over with the Trailer of Doom.
As skeptical as I am (the huge love fest online puts me off significantly) trailers are the worst benchmark for a film. They are designed to advertise that a movie is coming and vague sense of what it's about. That's about it. I put about as much credence to a trailer as I do online YT videos discussing Trek. That is, not much. They didn't exactly win me over with the Trailer of Doom.
