Spoilers Ready Room with Wil Wheaton

Funny thing is, I'm so used to seeing him as himself these days that when I saw him, my first thought was, "Hey, it's Wil Wheaton!" Only after that did I realize, "Wait, is he playing Wesley?"
He was Wil Wheaton in the episode, that’s why he said that he used to be known as Wesley Crusher. He is the first Star Trek actor ever with God mode who is able to break the fourth wall.

I have never seen ‘The Big Bang Theory’ but I have friends that say I would enjoy it. Is it worth watching? The thing that puts me off watching it is that I get the impression that the characters are not all ‘pure’ Star Trek fans because they also like Star Wars too? I don’t want to hear them talk about such things as I would not get the jokes as a result of not being familiar with that franchises mythos. Unless the jokes are on an “I am your father” level in which case everybody would get the humour, even me?

They cross a broad spectrum of fandoms. Trek, Wars, comics.SF lit, computers, LOTR, B5 and well the list goes on. I found it funny because I know and am some of the characters. There is some misogyny in some of the humor though.

I’ll pass and watch The Big Bang Theory/Star Trek: Picard spin off starring William Wheaton as himself instead. :D

Babylon 5 stole Chekov from us, so forever will it go down in infamy.

Howard had a thing for Starbuck on Battelsttar Galactica as well... and George Takei, strangely enough...
They also cover video games, D&D, etc., etc. - anything remotely nerd-related. I got all the 'in-jokes' - I'm not sure if I should feel proud or ashamed. LOL

Its a great show. They make a 'Blossom' reference in the first season, and then that very actress winds up as a regular. Its pretty cool.

Meh for the most part. If my wife can catch most of the references, even from properties she doesn't know, then you will probably fine.

Misogyny and a hopelessly outdated take on the modern nerd. Because in BBT world, of course, people who like sci-fi talk about nothing but sci-fi 24/7 and clam up around the opposite sex.

I've been in the geek-game all my life and have never had problems holding conversations with women. I have friends who are into sci-fi who are (for whatever the term is worth) quite ordinary. BBT has its' moments but most of the time it makes me cringe.

I love BBT because it's so inaccurate. Though, I was voted most likely to remain single in high school.

So would anyone care to speculate on what role Wesley may have in season 3 of Picard? I have no doubt that he will be showing up again, especially with his mum playing such a prominent role.

Maybe he will help our heroes ‘get around’ being a traveller and all.

He'll pop in to admit there are places even he can't go.

It's been confirmed that Wesley isn't in Season 3.
